Taxi from Pop

We will be staying overnight at Pop before our 6 night package at AKL. There will be 3 families. I want to be able to get to the parks as early as possible on our second day, but will have to get over to AKL to check in and get tickets. So, I am thinking one adult from each family can cab over from Pop to AKL early and have the rest of the family get an early bus from Pop to the park du jour after getting the luggage over to luggage services for transport over to AKL.

So, the question. Will I have to call a cab? Does Pop usually have cabs waiting? Is there someone at the front desk who will take care of this for us?

Yep, cabs at the ready at POP..... but make sure if your tickets are included in your AKL package that not EVERYONE need be present at check in. I know during the free dining promo it was required....I would call and ask and write down what you are told and CM's name...stuff is ALWAYS changing and I would hate to see you guys denied admission base on a glitch. and, call from POP to AKL the night before your switch to RE-VERIFY the info you are given.

Thank you for the info. My trip is not until July '07. Just thinking ahead, is all. I am hoping that it is not free dining that we will be able to get our tickets without everyone being present, but, I know that during free dining all had to be present to check in.

You're most likely right, that free dining WON'T be offered available in July 2007 - but even if it was, as long as you're not booking a package that includes it, your one-person-from-each-family checkin should work fine. You can probably check in as early as 6 AM, so the earliest-rising adult from each family can head over to AKL very early and take care of everything. The remaining adults can arrange with Luggage Assistance to get everything moved over to AKL.
