Taxi costs???

hi All!

We are going to WDW in Feb when my DD attends a gymnastics competition. We are staying at OKW and the meet is at the Orange Co Convention center.

the only other 'offsite' adventure we were considering is a day at Sea World.

I used the taxi estimator on the mears site and it was estimating $28 each way to the convention center and approx $25 each way to sea world (from Magic Kingdom)

$110...not figuring the parking fees we will also save, seems like a cheaper alternative for us than renting a car.

my question is... is the estimator reasonably accurate??

The best rental price I've found so far is $130 but that was only for weds til fri evening... not for the full 5 days

Any thoughts?? Suggestions???
I have not added ME yet... and I need to do it soon, if i'm not going to rent a car at MCO

I'm guessing it's pretty accurate, maybe even low in some cases. We paid $15-20 (with the tip) just to go from MK to Beach Club last December -- I think my DH overtipped a bit, but just to give you a general idea.

Last year I stayed within walking distance of the Orlando Convention Center & a taxi to MK was $55 one way. I think the estimator might be a little low! That being said however, I'm assuming OKW is closer to the CC than MK.
