Taxi costs within WDW and from resorts

Hi - is there a resource somewhere showing estimated taxi costs from various resorts to WDW properties? We have some early morning breakfast ADRs and I wanted to find out how cheap it would be to take a taxi from POP over to Epcot or from POP to Animal Kingdom rather than use the buses. Thanks!

I would estimate $15 with tip one way if your party will fit in a standard 4 door sedan. Be sure to have your fare ready in small bills. A stash of $5 and $1 bills will make things quick and easy than hoping the driver has change.

I find this to be helpful. I usually get the exact address of the resorts from Deb Wills site and since the link does not included DTD I just use the Disney Institute selection.

The bell stands at each resort have a table of typical taxi fares from their resort.

Last week it was pouring all during dinner at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian, and we decided to splurge on a taxi back to Saratoga Springs. Bell stand said about $22 to Downtown Disney.

Size of taxi did not seem to matter, we were only 3 in a giant van.

The fare was $17 and well worth staying dry!

So are there taxi stands also at the all star resorts as well and would anyone recommend doing this on extra magic hour days and do the taxi's drop off near the entrance to the parks?

There are not taxi stands, but they are generally just near by in the parking lots. Bell services is outside and I know we've used Bell Services or the valets to call for a taxi when we've gone from the deluxe resorts. When we used a taxi from the POFQ we had a CM at concierge desk inside call for us. We have also just called from our room when we were ready to leave and by the time we got to the front of the hotel the taxi was there.
The taxis can drop you off pretty close to the park entrance for all of the parks except for the MK. They can drop you off at the TTC where you can take the ferry or the monorail to the MK. Or they can drop you off at the CR and from there you can walk over to the MK.

Do you tip the taxi driver a standard amount or based on number of passengers?
I seem to remember taxis waiting at the parks to pick up passengers--do they still do this?
Anyone know how long it would take to get from AK to WL by taxi? We have WCC dinner ADR's--just thinking it might be worth getting a taxi.

I have one day that everyone else is going to the water parks, but I am going to roam on my own. We are staying at BC. I plan on taking a taxi to POFQ, then taking the boat to DTD, a bus to CBR and maybe a taxi back to BC. As always, thanks for all of the advice!

Standard amount about 15% of total

Yes but at busy times or bad weather they get taken fast

Good idea, about 10 minutes by taxi or 30-45 by bus to MK then boat to WL
