Taxi carseats

Hi all,

How clean (or unclean) are the taxi provided car seats? I know it doesn't matter much to some but I had an experience where a car seat did not make it on our flight before and we had to use an airport rental and it was the most disgusting thing ever.

Taxi carseats are as unpredictable as the weather. It depends entirely on the age of the seat, frequency of use, and when the last time the driver bothered to clean it.

Rental company and taxi car seats are very likely to be filthy. Far worse though, is that they are also very likely to be damaged, expired, recalled or completely unsafe and inappropriate for your child. I know a mom who requested a car seat for her 6 week old baby and was given a backless booster seat.
