Taxi between DTD and POP Christmas Week

My husband and I are staying at Pop Century for the first time this year the week of 12/26-1/1. On the day we arrive we are planning to go to DTD around 11am or so. In the past (coming from Wilderness Lodge), all of my experiences on buses to and from DTD were absolutely AWFUL, so I'd like to avoid that this time by taking a cab. Does anyone know if the trip is better either to or from DTD? If so, we could save ourselves a little cash and only pay for a taxi going one way. I'm just not sure what the other stops there might be along the way. Has the construction at DTD made getting in and/or out with a cab more difficult, time-consuming and costly? Thanks for the advice!!
