Taxi and Kids

Has anyone taken a taxi with there kids when at DL? I have a dd3 that will turn 4 one month after we get back from DL. Can I use booster seat for the taxi ride. Just from GCH to the GardenWalk. I can not use the child seat on any other part of the trip because where going by bus too and from the airport. And I don't want to take the big 22lb. car seat for one taxi ride.

well last year we didnt use a car seat or bosterseat we are taking a bus from az and have to take taxis to and from hotle and stuff. but my son was 5last year and will be 6 this time

Is she 40 lbs?

I don't know what CA law is, guessing it's similar to here in WA. If you have her in a smaller booster, using the seat belt with shoulder restraint, I'm guessing you would be fine; or at least that you wouldn't get cited if you were stopped.

As long as your child meets the minimum weight and height requirements for the booster (usually 40 lbs) you can use it.

If I'm not mistaken You don't have to use a car seat at all if you are taking a Taxi. Whether you should or not is a different question!

Opps.. never mind... after further research it seems California is one of the few states that require car seats in taxis!
