I sold my DVC in 2016 and have the records for the sale for the taxes, however I need to find the original purchase price. I have contacted where I bought it and they would only tell me the price of the points.

Is there a record in Orange county I could search for the original purchase?

How did you pay for it? Maybe check you're bank records for the total transaction amount.

Thank you both. The banking would be over 10 years ago and cost to have search so we went with knowing the purchase point price. I know there were more fees with title etc but we have a good number. Now for the rest of the taxes, this is taking days.

I would advise you to hire a professional. A CPA would be able to get you the best tax results.
