Hi,

We are heading to Disney next Jun and staying at Windsor Hills. We were wondering if we should buy food (snacks and whatnot) where we live or wait til we get to FL and go to the Super Target (we have one up here and LOVE IT). Our van will be PACKED so not sure if we can get a bunch of groceries in. What is the tax in FL???

Thanks
Kath

Orange County (Orlando and most of WDW) is %6.5, while Osceola County (Kissimmee) is %7.0. Those rates both include the state sales tax of %6.

there is no tax on real food in Florida-like cake, bread, chicken, milk

Deli made type HOT meals there is tax ( like a box of fried chicken from the deli)

I would so much rather buy my groceries there - except for maybe a few snacks. Then again, having done the snacks in the room thing, we now tend to buy most of our food in the parks. We found we don't save much money buying gorceries, since we end up not eating much of it. We'll eat breakfast, fruit, drinks, and snacks. It seems you can't have too much water in the heat.

I'm not sure which SuperTarget you mean. Publix is nice, avoid Albertson's.

I would wait until you get to FL and go to the super target, walmart or publix. All are reasonably close to WH. The walmart is further away (but open 24hours) great when you get to the area at 2-3am:eek: Yes, I have done that!

HTH
