Tax time

It was on my dues statement, which I've had for about 3 weeks, I think.

The tax part is on your dues statement which you should have already received. The interest is usually here by the end of the month or shortly thereafter.

What's interesting is we didn't receive a dues statement because our dues will not start being due until the resort opens in May, so I wonder where our interest information will appear?

Wouldn't it be online since you also have the option of paying it off online? Check dvcmember.com

You will receive a Form 1098 for the mortgage interest. That has to be posted marked by 1/31.

The dues you pay in calendar year 2009 would be reported on your 2009 tax return when you file it in 2010.

You should contact a certified tax professional to find out if you can deduct the property taxes and mortgage interest.

We bought our membership resale in 2007 so 2008 was the first time that we paid annual dues. So, here's my question-should I expect something in the mail for tax purposes for those dues or would you only get something for interest paid if financed through Disney?
