Tax refund yet?

I haven't received any W-2's yet. I'll be waiting until 2/1 even if I do receive them this week

We've filed but we're claiming sales tax on two vehicles so it won't be processed until February. Darn! I am ready for the money!

We're still waiting for our W-2's and some 1099's. Can't do a darn thing until those arrive.

But I made our WDW reservations today!!

Still waiting on a few documents. But last night, I plugged everything I do know into TurboTax (using paystubs & year end statements). Geesh, I should have quit me job long ago. I quit work last Feb. Our refund is going to be more than double what its ever been. Time to adjust DH's withholdings I guess so we can pocket more of it monthly.

Mt accountant tells me that you're better off filing an extension than you are if you get them in right way. From what he says, there is a lower likelihood that you will be audited if you do the extension. He could also be an incredible slacker just covering his butt, but I doubt it. That being said, I haven't received a refund in about 12 years, so the extension doesn't bother me at all. As the owner of an S-corporation, I always owe money at the end of the year.

Haven't received a single W2 yet. I've never been able to file in Jan, it's always been in Feb sometime.

I haven't received my W2 yet, but since next week is the end of the month, that's when I can get ready to file. I did receive my statement from my mortgage company and the statement from the bank. Just need the most important document. I can't wait, cause it's funding our trip to DW

I haven't received my W-2's yet either and it's driving me crazy. At my last job they were available online, but since I don't work there anymore I no longer have access to their intranet site and can't seem to get an answer about whether I should just go pick it up or if it's in the mail. And my new job won't answer either about when they are mailing them. I usually have my refund by the end of January, and I really need it!!

I think my brother told me once that the IRS does the direct deposits on Fridays. Mine is suppose to be here 2/2. We got our W2s online last Friday and the mailed out copies came on Monday. I did my taxes Monday morning.

I did my taxes last week. My refund from the IRS is supposed to be deposited this Friday. Then it gets transferred off to ING to save for maternity leave. New York state takes forever so who knows when I'll get that!

My parents are both bookkeepers and told me that forms need to be postmarked by 1/31.

I too am in the same boat as MushyMushy! I filed my taxes on the 13th and they were accepted on the 14th, my preparer Taxbrain says the refund should be Jan 26th, however the IRS site is saying "We received your refund and it is being processed, you can expect to receive it on Feb 6th"! I looked it up earlier and now Taxbrain has changed the expected refund date until the 6th too. Taxbrain says I should get it that Friday the 2nd.

Not at all sure what is going on and why it is taking so much longer this year. Hey Mushy_let me know if you get yours tomorrow? I am curious if this is happening to anyone else out there?

Blondie, it looks like we're not going to get it today.

DH called TurboTax to ask them about the discrepancy, and naturally TT outsources their customer service calls to a foreign country, so the woman he spoke with was barely comprehensible and was reading from a script. She couldn't even answer his question. So then he called SBBT Bank where the money gets processed. The CS agent there was in a real snit and talked to DH like he was a total idiot. She kept repeating to him, "SIR, if our website says it'll be there on 1/26, then it will be there on 1/26." He then asked the question on the TT forums and they said, no, that the IRS date is the one to go by. There was a slight possibility that the IRS is padding its date, but not likely.

Soooo, he then checked the SBBT website yesterday and it said it hadn't received the money and to check back next week on 2/2.

We just want our money! We're in our annual after-Christmas slump and it would really come in handy.

I would check with your bank again. I just checked mine and it was there. If I had called earlier than 8, it wouldn't have been processed through my bank yet.
