I'm trying to decide if buying the dining plan would be beneficial for us, so I'm working out a few scenarios but I'm missing one thing. Does anyone know what the tax rate is on food in Disney?

Thanks.

6.5% except for All-Stars, which is 7.0%

Does the Dining Plan price include sales tax, or is that added on at the time of the meal/snack?

I am going to be asking my TA that later. A friend of mine said you do pay tax and tip and she went this year. They were also on the DDP but I thought tax was included :confused3

Taxes are totally taken care of as part of the dining plan.

You will however have to pay taxes on anything you order that is not included in the dining plan.

She was mistaken. She didnt pay taxes on the DDP

So, it's $39.99 (for 2009 adults)? You don't pay taxes when you book the DDP? Just want to make sure I'm clear on it!
