Tax question about renting points

Can anyone tell me if the 12.5% tax is normally paid in points at time of reservation or cash at check in Thanks

No sales or tourist tax is owed when an owner stays in their own timeshare.

When an owner charges somebody to stay in the timeshare, sales and tourist taxes are owed (see http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/taxes/res_real_property.html for details). It is the owners responsibility - not Disney's - to collect the tax and pass it on. However, in practice, owners rarely collect taxes from renters.
