Can someone tell me if they charge the 7% tax before or after the discount (Cape May)? Also, does anyone have any idea on cost of soft drinks and beer? I'm hoping to sort of figure out the crowds total before we go. Thanks

Sales tax (which is 6.5% except 7% at All Stars and WWS) is computed after the discount is taken, which is in accordance with Florida (as well as just about any other state) law.

Soft drinks and beer....hum? soft drinks and iced tea will run around $2.19 (refills included at a table service)...I think the cost is less at counter service...not sure.

Beer? Sorry I can't help ya out there...you could check at allearsnet.com for the menus...I remember seeing some that listed beer and the price.

The DDE card was a big plus for those times when we did have alcoholic drinks...I had a margarita at San Angel...it was $7.95 so with the DDE card I saved $1.60...it does add up.

Thanks Cheshire on the correction. The Disney dining said it was 7% at Cape May, so I was just quoting her. We don't drink, so the dividing of the bill is always hard. I'm hoping to let everyone know in advance their total sans drinks. I assume the tip will be an automatic 18%..and we tip 20%, but the other 2% will have to be up to the others for their bill. We have 12 people now, and the DDE only covers 10, so I think I'll just have them put hubby and mine on it's own bill, and we'll pay our full bill, since that way the others drinks will get 20% off.
