tax free holiday for three day !

NC just had it's first tax free holiday, and it is great i shopped for 7 hr. with dd and ds for school ware. it was great i am flat broke but i liked not paying taxes on all of it. i don't think i am finished buying for ds. he just got cranky so we will try again sat. to finish up.

We're having it here in Texas this weekend, too. I won't be anywhere near the mall. It's not worth it for me. JMHO.

i took the day off work for it . it was not bad at all today i would hate to be out tonight and this weekend. the only thing that was busy today was wal-mart. didn't touch the place

Our Best Buy was packed with people buying tax free computers and software. It took us forever to get out of there.

I totally forgot we were having it, so I was really miffed and confused by the crowds in the stores fairly early this morning! I didn't get a clue until I got home and looked at my receipts!

I've never heard of a tax free day, has anybody else in Michigan ever heard of us having one?

I was waiting for it to come around here. The other day I heard that they AREN'T doing it in FL this year.
