This will be our 1st time at EPCOT AT NITE. We were originally going to eat at
Le Cellier, but after reading the menu and adding up everything we'd get,
the bill came out to $85.00!! :faint:

That' s a lot of money for dinner :faint: - I wouldn't feel comfortable justifying that expense for 1 dinner. I'm sure it's amazing - but I might feel guilty afterwards..

SO my plan was for us to leave EPCOT at I guess 6pm to meet a PS at
Cape May Clambake Buffet :boat: for 6:30 PM PS. ( Is this enough time to walk there?)

I figured it would be a nice break away from EPCOT, we could still return there and see countries in the dark and see illuminations. What do u think? :scratchin

HERE' S WHERE MY QUESTION /POST COMES IN: :cheer2:

Do u think Garden Grill has better atmosphere and food than Cape May Clambake :boat:?

I have never been to Cape May, but my family LOVES GG! We are all big meat eaters and we love the flank steak that they serve. All the other food is great too. It is all you can eat, and is a character meal that includes Mickey, plus the whole place SLOWLY rotates and you can view the scenes from the living woth the land ride. It is a calm place, even when full. We have always had plenty of character interaction. If you try it, I think you will like it!:teeth:

From the International Gateway of Epcot the Beach Club is only about a ten minute walk (at most).
I don't think you can really compare the Garden Grille and the Cape May Clam Bake. They are very different. The GG is a character meal while the Clam Bake is a buffet. We love the many different foods available at the Clam Bake. It's been several years since we ate at the Garden Grille so I can't comment on their food.
Another thing you way want to consider is if you go to the Clam Bake you can then walk around the Boardwalk area for a while before returning to Epcot. It's really a great area.

We have done both and yes, the food is very different. Things I would consider:
1) Do you have children? Yes, it's only a ten-minute walk to the Cape May, but if you have been at the park all day and are tired and hot, you may prefer to stay in the park for your meal. Kids would love the characters.
2) Keep in mind that at the GG they bring the food to you. This was such a relief for us to have a nice relaxing meal instead of going back and forth to the buffet. It's hard to keep making trips to the buffet with small children. I don't feel like I ever get everything I want because I'm too busy attending to kids. (It's getting better as they get older. Whew!)
All that said, if I had to choose, I would definitely pick Garden Grill, even though Cape May is great.
(We had breakfast at the Cape May with the characters and that was very good, if you would like to consider that.)
