Tattoo Policy on the cruise?

Many of the previous posters comments since joining the DIS have been antagonist and/or rude. Think it's best to just ignore it.

I've known many "classy" people who either have or like tattoos. Not everyone with tattoos is trashy and to automatically make such an assumption? Time to ignore. :)

To the OP: I think your friends will be fine on Disney cruises with tattoos. There are no policies against having them as long as they aren't inappropriate (just like t-shirts).

:thumbsup2 I think the mods need to check previous banned posters. Lately, it's been bad. :rolleyes1 I may be wrong, so :flower3:

I was attempting to reply to your post, then everything got lost. Perhaps due to your tweak?:confused3 Anyway, I interpreted MND's post as potential humor.

Get it ... "attrack" .... Nascar ... track...

Also this is not an attack, it is JMHO and thoughts pertaining to this topic for all to enjoy.:lmao:

I have a Nascar cap, although it will not be worn in the dining areas, it may be seen elsewhere. Some folks do wear caps in the dining areas, some don't. So DCL does attract them all. So do most cruise lines. Please let me know if this disturbs anyone, so I can weigh the pros and cons, and make an educated decision whether it's inappropriate to wear on board. Oops, now I'm being judgemental, my bad. :sad1:

I'm sure you all now how difficult it is to write anything with substance or opinion without touching someone's nerve.

Directed at all -- Why is everyone so defensive lately?:confused3
It's only opinion, that's all, isn't everyone entitled to their own?
I really enjoy reading everyone's opinion. You don't have to post a reply.

Agreed! Everyone has their own opinions. Some people get too easily offended. I will apologize, I'm very opinionated.. LOL!

I agree with you - it is just people's opinion! You don't have to read if it offends you. I cannot believe some people get so upset. I only read because I would have been in shock to find out Disney had a policy against tattoos as that would be discrimination.

This thread sounds like a day with my family- everyone has their own opinion about things, however, we respect and support those differences... I am getting a NY giants tattoo on my ankle next week- I hope it doesn't offend anyone( well, it might to the Patriots fans:confused3).

On our Mexican Riviera cruise in April, we felt a little out of place NOT having tattoos. They were everywhere. We thought it might have just been be a west coast thing. Didn't bother us. We enjoy people watching, and this made it more interesting.

I would probably never get one myself, unless the Falcons win the Superbowl. I feel like I am pretty safe. :rotfl:

A lot of it is a west coast thing. In the greater Seattle area, it's odd to see any adult without at least one tiny tattoo. Unless you're working for one of the big accounting firms, no one hides them.

On our Disney vacations, some of our best conversations start with people admiring my husbands work. We've met a lot of cast members that way, it's almost like they want to admire even more because they can't show theirs.

My hubby has his his whole back, left chest/shoulder tatooed.
The one on his back is somewhat of a 9/11 memorial, so he gets asked about it a lot, which he doesn't mind at all.

Other than that, definitely no issues on DCL.

i have 2 one is a mickey head

I get asked about my mickey head all the time on the cruise it is pretty unique, it is a good size mickey head with a palm tree scene inside it.

MY 2 favorite things.

Ha, ha! I wish I was that clever! I meant attack, not attrack. That is kind of funny though.

It depends; are the tatts advertising Carnival Cruise Line, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Island of Adventure, Looney Tunes Characters, and other blasphemous material? If so I'll be the first to toss them overboard.

Now if they have the DCL logo, the parks of WDW, Mickey or other Disney favorites we all love and enjoy I'll be the first to buy them a drink :rotfl2::rotfl:

Infrequent poster so make of that what you will!

Ex Techie :)

So how many posts does a Disboard member have to have before you take them seriously?

I found the last 2 comments to be very rude. Of course it is a serious post, why wouldn't it be?
