Tasty Planning Time with ZeBrook! A 2 for 1 PTR - 12/24 - All our bags are packed

I'll take any of them :goodvibes I've never actually sent in a request before, so I'm starting small :rotfl:

My trip in October is at Pop. If things go well at CSR, my request might be more specific.
I love the pictures that were posted!! Eeek! I can't wait!!!:yay:

:rotfl2: Our first stay I didn't request anything-I was so confused by it all, so I just didn't do one, and we got a GREAT location. For our 1 night Studio stay at SSR we didn't request anything either and we got what has to be one of the very best rooms on the property. And, at Pop we didn't request anything and got a great spot in the 50s section, very close to everything. So, not requesting stuff seems to do good I think!!

I will take anything in the Cabanas as well! I had put in the request for 9B, but switched it to 8A or 8B so we'd be closer to the bus, pool and playground. Just seems to work better with how our plans are taking shape.

I just read your last Dells update...

Beautiful rock formations, beautiful river.....so nice. I LOVE nature. In So Cal it's hard to find large green space that isn't a manmade park of some sort. You really have to travel up to the mountains.....

Did you really say Frank Lapidus? Is he a candidate...? That's all I'm saying....

Wisconsin Dells really is beautiful when you get beyond the tacky tourist traps! When I lived in NYC I remember coming back to Minnesota and literally throwing myself onto the grass, it smelled soooooo good. When you live with cement around you, nature is so precious.

Okay-I am SO confused by your last statement. A candidate? For...? I probably should get this, but well...uh...:rolleyes1:laughing:

The best resource for park music that I know of is Park Tunes. You can drill down through parks and lands and it gives you links to where you can buy particular tracks.

ohhh thanks for the link!

Exactly-thank you for the link!!

UPDATE
Today we went to the doctor for Henry. His spots have been getting better as we have been washing them twice a day, and none of the blisters have popped. She suggested we just keep washing as we are now, and if they do pop, and things start to spread then bring him in again for an ointment. At this point, since the blisters do seem to be going down and almost disappearing on their own-and they aren't bugging Henry at all, it's not necessary to have any medication.

So that was GREAT news. Hopefully they all continue to go away and not spread any more! We didn't have any new spots this morning-so that was a good thing!:thumbsup2

Next up...we went to a doctor appointment for me.

I hadn't shared this yet.

No, I'm not pregnant! :rotfl2: (People at work were wondering when I suddenly said I had a doctor appointment!)

I've had foot pain for about a month. I've just been dealing with it, but it has been REALLY bad some days, so today I finally bit the bullet, wanting to not have a lame foot for Disney World and had the doctor evaluate it.

Thankfully, it's not broken at all. But, due to how it's swollen and the tenderness I have, the doctor is thinking it's my tendon. So, I'm in a boot. For 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, if I feel like I'm close to being 100% again, we will do the boot a bit longer-and hopefully then I'll be fine. Or, if nothing has really changed, then they have to do an MRI and figure out what is going on in there.

The cool thing was, my doctor GETS DISNEY. As soon as I mentioned we were going on vacation in September, he asked where..."Disney." "Oh geez, we have to get you well for that! We don't want you limping for Disney!"

:thumbsup2

Even when I said "I could get an electric cart if necessary." He said "No, we gotta get you on your feet!"

Smart doctor!!! :rotfl: Then told me a bit about when they took their children...I could tell he had very fond memories of their trip.

Have you ever chased a toddler up a grassy hill with one of these klunky boots on??? It was a sight! Let me tell you!!!!

However, Henry learned a new word today...."Boot!" :goodvibes

And I'll leave you with this, a pic of me with my new haircut (I'll post more on that in a real update) and my snazzy, snazzy boot.

And according to this blog: http://www.2719hyperion.com/2008/04/snapshot-burrito-at-panchitos.html the flying donkey is from the Flying Gauchito segment of The Three Caballeros. His name is Burrito. (which I find to be a really cute name for this flying donkey! :cutie:)

Great to hear that Henry is on the mend! But this thing about your foot does not sound too great!! :scared1: I hope this boot will work for you. It must be uncomfortable to wear in the summer weather. It's nice how your doctor understands that you need to be able to walk in September. :goodvibes

And even if the new haircut was not officially part of your update yet: it suits you very well!! :thumbsup2

Well, the word "Burrito" means Little Donkey, so it fits.

...And one of these days I might actually catch up on all this stuff.

And a giraffe!

Great news about Henry, but not so great news about your foot!

It is a very snazzy boot, though, and your new haircut looks fabulous! :goodvibes

Oh yes, and a giraffe!

I'll take a Zebra Dome too! ;)

Isn't it just <roar> snazzy?

Thanks on the haircut! It was kind of a spur of the moment thing -so I'm glad I liked it in the end!

Well, yesterday the weather here was in the 60's and today the high is supposed to be only like 64. :sad2: So, summer heat? Huh? What's that???

But, if we ever get our scorcher hot days like we usually do...the boot is not gonna be fun!

And thanks to you as well on the haircut!!

I had NO idea burrito meant little donkey.

Kinda weirds me out now to eat burritos at a Mexican joint.

I'll so have the urge to ask them "Are you sure this is beef?" ;)

I suspect real life is getting in the way of keeping up on the DIS? I understand! :goodvibes No worries, the PTR is all about bag, shoes, toiletries, ADRs, and park touring "must do's". Maybe I'll do a "PTR Summary" at the end for those that need the Cliff Notes.

Love your new haircut! It looks very nice on you.

Thanks for "googling" the Donkey. I thought it looked familiar too.

Sorry about your foot! I had to wear a boot like that in high school when I hurt my ankle during gymnastics practice. Of course I hurt it in May and had to wear it until September.

We've had really cool weather as well, I'm missing my summer!!

Hi Brook!
LOVE the new "do" very cute!!! And it must be SO easy (especially with a toddler in the house!).

Sorry to hear about your foot...glad to hear you're taking care of it though!! And glad to hear that Henry is clearing up, too!!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!!:goodvibes

Glad the doctor gets Disney... and here is hoping the boot works.

Poor Henry, the kids I babysat for had that while I was growing up -yuck!

Poor Brook! Take care of your foot!

And the haircut looks great!

Joining in. We'll be there from Dec 28 - Jan 2. Sooooo excited about seeing New Years Eve fireworks!!!

Glad that Henry is getting better. I just got back from the doctor with my 21 mo old too and she has a viral ***** throat- yuck!! and for the second time!! It is hard when they are feeling bad.
I feel for you with that boot too. My oldest DD had foot surgery (on one foot) May 15th and on the second one June 15th. She is just now starting to walk (or hobble) a bit on both. You dont realize how much you take your feet for granted until something happens:) She is in Darco shoes on both feet. She would go crazy if she had that big tall boot on her feet. Hopefully you will have very quick healing and wont need that at Disney:thumbsup2

Thanks for getting to the bottom of that Donkey:thumbsup2
I dont know if I have ever seen the Three Cabelleros before.

Wow, I hope that you foot feels better soon. pixiedust: When I was reading it, I kept waiting for you to say that he told you that you have plantar fascitius. Since that can take a long time to heal, I am glad to hear that your diagnosis is different.

Well, the actual origin of the term isn't quite certain, but it has been suggested the name came as a result of it looking like one of the packs a donkey might be carrying on its back. At least that's what the Wikipedia article suggests, so who knows. Then again, I had a burrito for lunch today, so I now I'm starting to wonder a bit...

Which is why I eat fajitas.

Sorry to hear about your foot. That's a bummer. At least the DOC knows the importance of what he is dealing with here! Hope you get well soon so you can do some Disney Dancing. :cool1:

Hey there! Long time no see!!!! :goodvibes
I can't believe we have 2 trips coming up!!! We never anticipated going back every year, let alone several times in a year! Joe said last night "I can see us buying more points (for DVC), so we can go back twice a year every year." From your lips to God's ears honey!!!! :thumbsup2

It has been a while...and I have been in a Disney Depression since I have no trips planned. I also have a hard time getting on the computer now that I am working overnights. DH and I are waiting to hear where we are going to move to in April and we are hoping one of the choices will be Tampa...that is the closest we will be able to get to Orlando. The other choice would be in VA near my sister. One day we will buy into DVC but I would like to buy a house first...time will tell. It would be great if you bought more points and could go twice a year especially with Henry getting older...he is going to have so much fun over the years. I can't wait to go with my kids (when I finally have some) and my Nephew.

I'm glad Henry's rash is getting better. DH got that on his face once - it was disgusting!! :scared: We got in a fight because I wouldn't go near him - I was afraid of catching it - kinda funny now that I look back on it...:lmao:

Congrats on 50 days! I hope you get that lovely boot off before your trip - and that your foot feels better!

CSR pics are great. If I have to do a mod for my 40th birthday mini-trip, we will do CSR because it looks like it's the closest mod to Epcot. It looks really nice!

Oh, and speaking of park music, I have "WDW Official Album (2006) Where the Magic Lives ". It's 2 discs of park music and covers all the highlights. My Disney playlist on my Ipod includes that cd, my 5 disc Classic Disney: 60 Years of Magical Music set and my Epcot Illuminations cd. Love it! :thumbsup2

I am glad Henry is getting better. Boo for your foot. Hope it heals quick. Yay for a Disney loving Doc. Very cute hair cut.
You asked me about CBR. We liked it. I have a few pics in my TR. We went mostly for the pirate room. The girls enjoyed it. We also had a fun time at the pool-though the splash area can get crazy. The food court was ok. It think if we had less rain we would have enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds more.
