Hi everyone! Hopefully someone can help me out. My DF and I just recently set up our tasting session, we were sent some menus and told to choose some food to try. But We were only sent 2 menus, none of which is what we want, both are way too expensive and the food doesn't sound all that good. Do we recieve any other menus? I thought we could choose anything we wanted for the wedding.:confused3

if you have anything specific in mind i would contact your EM and let them know!!thats what i did because i didnt see the parmesan crusted chicken on the menu so i emailed her and said i would really like to try it and she told me it was no problem that the chefs shouldnt have a problem meeting my request:goodvibes

i thought we could choose whatever also. I started a thread about peoples menues and it seemed that there were lots of diffrent foods none of which were the same.

hope only 2 menues is not all we can choose from

Before we went up, I asked for the menus for Boardwalk and the GF as well as for the universal wedding menus. We ended up liking something on the Boardwalk menu best, and the GF chef happily agreed to make it for us. So, I would just ask for additional menus for the resorts you like. And, as the others said, if you have something in mind, speak up! The chefs are super nice and are always flexible.
HTH! :bride:

We got a ton of menus to choose from. It may have been because of our location at Disneys MGM Studios, however, we got probably 5 or 6. Aside from the menus that were sent, we requested a dish that we saw on the food network DFTW special a few years ago! We picked that dish and a dish on one of the menus! I would just ask your planner if they can acommodate any requests you may have or send you more menus~! Good Luck! :)

It mostly depends on your locations but most will be happy to accomodate you. Certain places like the California Grill dont sway from their set menus really.

Our reception is in EPCOT, so we got the EPCOT catering menu which is approx 30 pages long!!! :scared1:

There were tons of different menus in the larger catering menu - dessert party ones, kids ones, and several different drink menus in addition to the regular dinner menus. I did talk to my EM about them because none seemed just right and she said the menus they send (except in cases like Cali Grill) were suggestions and that we could do anything we watned. In the end we chose things off those menus, but we did a lot of mixing and matching.

At the tasting itself, we asked about a couple of things that we didn't even try and the chef was willing to make something custom for us - PB cheesecake for my DF.

I say ask for more menus or just let them know if there are things you want to have. ENJOY!! The tastings are a LOT of food. We did ours at 1pm and didn't even have any appetites for Ohana's at 9pm that night!

Thanks so much everyone! I asked our WP and she sent us more menus, so we are really excited now.

Tink - definitely go to your tasting session with a big appetite. There is A LOT of food there. But it is soooooooooooooooooooo good.... that was one of the biggest things we looked forward to on our wedding day... other than actually getting married of course... :rotfl:
