My idea is that they should have a tasting menu at the Patisserie in France. Who is with me?

Can you imagine how awesome that would be? Apparently I want something sweet today.

When you walk in there you see all of these amazing concoctions that you want to try but you can't try them all in your trip no matter how bad you want to. You finally decide on something after drooling over everything for what seems like half an hour. For me the decision is always the same, the chocolate mousse; it never fails. I know the chocolate mousse will never let me down. It is always outstanding. The texture is perfect, as is the flavor. I want to try other things; I really, really do. I just can't bring myself to get something else and miss out on that wonderful, perfect mousse.

Oh the difficult decisions of deciding on the perfect snack while on vacation at WDW...

:faint:

A tasting menu would let us have the best of it ALL!!!

I do!!! I have a sweet tooth, lol.

I think it's a fantabulous idea! I always get the same thing there too, because I can't back away from the eclair!

It's a great idea! Maybe then I could get something other than my favorite - the Napoleon. ;)

You mean i'm the only one who orders four full size pastries :lovestruc
DH always laughs that there is no way i'm going to eat all that...
ah well no...but i just can resist…

So that would be great for me…

Um...I get that every time...

I want to taste this, oh and that and ooh give me one of those and one of these.....:lmao:

I would love that! I'm like the rest of you - I think so many of the items look delicious but then I always get my favorite - strawberry tart. YUMMMM

I would love this!!! That is why I love the F&W so much, I can taste small portions of so many different things!!!

We have the deluxe plan on our upcoming trip - and I'm bringing Gladware!!! We're going to have our own Patisserie tasting when we get back to our room :goodvibes

I agree! When we were there in August I got a box of goodies ( I mean they wouldn't make the box so big if they didn't want me to take away so many treats, right? ;) ) from the Patisserie to snack on while watching Illuminations and for breakfast the next day. I swear I spend at least $50 every trip there (although I don't want to add that to how much I spend at Norway's bakery, Main St. Bakery, and Boardwalk bakery :rolleyes1). I like the variety at the Patisserie the best.

Glad to see I'm not alone after all. Maybe we just need to have a DIS meet-up and have our own little sampling if we can't get them to have a tasting menu offered for us. ;)

:thumbsup2 Great idea! I fell in love with the Pvithiers (sp massacare there) and can't get away from ordering just that, but there are so many other things I want, too!

They should do some kind of a combo where they have their top-selling selections (I'm guessing chocolate mousse, napoleon, eclair, strawberry tart from what I have read here :goodvibes), in smaller portions. They should have one combo where you get to choose 2 of them, one where you choose 3 of them and another where you get 4. That way you can sample a few different popular items.

I LOVED the chocolate mousse when we were there in July 2008 and plan to get it again. Luckily for me, on our next trip we have 3 days at Epcot so I can sample a couple of other things. I'm thinking of getting a bunch of stuff to go with some snack credits and having them for breakfast the next morning...we're staying at Boardwalk Villas which is a short walk from the World Showcase! Very convenient for this...I can just stop in there on our way out of Epcot for our usually afternoon break and have a nice snack plus keep some things in the fridge for breakfast the next morning (if it lasts that long!). I suppose I am also lucky because there are 4 of us, so I can sort of justify trying 4 different full-size desserts if I share it with the rest of my family! ;)

Man, I love my desserts...especially chocolate!

Bonnie it is easier to get that many with 4 people. With 2 it isn't so easy. ;)
