Tastiest Snacks at WDW?

Where is the love for citrus swirl at MK?

Grapefruit cake at HS Brown Derby
Beignets at French Quarter
Peanut butter pie at Contemporary
Those mac n cheese bowls at AK(you know, the ones with pulled pork or shrimp?)

I wish I had seen this list before I went on my trip two weeks ago, but honestly, it was SOOOO hot at the parks, I lost my appetite (and that's really not like me). I didn't get to really try any of the snacks I wanted because I was either so hot and wiped out or I was full from my meals.

On the first day before I got too full and too hot, I did get the Dole Whip over Pineapple Upside Down Cake. FANTASTIC. But I love pineapple upside down cake anyway so if that's not your thing it may not be a big deal to you.

I'll have to keep this list somewhere for my next trip which I think I'm JUST gonna do Quick Service meals and snacks. The table service stuff just did me in. The stomach of my youth is gone!

Magic Kingdom

Dole Whip from Aloha Isle (it's huge, if you go in the morning you won't have much of a queue, otherwise I'd suggest using mobile ordering)
Chili Queso Fries from Golden Oak Outpost (I could live on these)
Corn Dog from Westward Ho (make sure you stop by the condiment section on your right, I like mustard best)
Fresh fruit and Nutella Waffle from Sleepy Hollow (service was pretty poor though, but it's a great location as well, I love the view)

Epcot

Cheese Popcorn from the Journey into Imagination Popcorn Cart (how does this NOT have a name?) - get all three, they're excellent!
Ice cream from L'Artisan des Glaces - they're rich and yummy, get flavours you wouldn't find at home.
Nudel Gratin from Sommerfest really hits the spot. Great service too.

Animal Kingdom

Fresh Corn on the Cob dipped in butter and curry powder from Harambe Fruit Market Seri-ously. Reread that. Of course it was great, one of the best snacks in WDW. They're a bit messy to eat so make sure they've got seating space available or you'll be covered in butter by the time you find a seat anywhere else.
Tzatzki Salad and Sriracha Ketchup Fries from Mr Kamal's are so good. I gobbled them up in a matter of seconds (or so it seems)
Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork from Flame Tree Barbecue - Melty and gooey and I need some now!

As you can see, I've more of a savoury girl but I hope that helps!

Just wanted to say except for our traditional arrival day and last night dinners at Shula's, my boyfriend and I almost exclusively do all our eating at various bar lounges, quick services and snack spots around the World. We love it!

I feel like the nutella and fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow in MK isn't given enough love. It is so yummy and big enough to share!

THisis on our snack list come December!

The Elephant Ear at Animal Kingdom. I believe it's at Kusafiri as well, but I found it at Isle of Java. They should also have something similar at Les Halles in Epcot. But it's a palmier pastry dipped in dark chocolate. All kinds of yum. One of my favorite finds. Doesn't look like anything special, but wow.

.

Is this like a fried dough? I love that at our Fall fairs.

Pulled pork fries at Flame Tree BBQ

Also on the list.

It has been brought to my attention that I have scheduled meals that left the snack in the back seat of the trip, so this time I had a mutiny on my hands. My DD and DSIL are locked into Disney Food Blog and TIme Tracker and whoever else has vlogs on Disney snacks, and have waged a full on barrage to block my scheduled lunches in favor of all the delicious snacks that got away in the past. I acquiesced, especially after seeing some of the treats I also was not hungry enough to either try to find.

If I know those two, there will be a laminated planner with all the desired snacks, with parks and locations dialed into GPS. LOL!!! I better find hot dogs for my DH, because he is not going to like the waffles, funnel cakes, fried dough, fries, and poutine and soups that they have already earmarked! LOL!

Not seeing enough love for Karamell-Kuche in Epcot!

Love their freshly made caramel corn and the Chewy Caramel Bar with Walnuts, and have to buy both on every trip

Also in Epcot at Les Halles Boulangerie, love the Jambon Beurre sandwich. Ask them to warm it up. It's delicious!

Keep reading about the Frangipane pastry at Les Halles, and it's on my list to try.

After four trips & trying new things every time, my favorite snacks are: Mickey ice cream bar & the ice cream cookie sandwich at the ice cream shop next to the Plaza Restaurant in MK.

The ice cream bar is one of my all time favorites but I never mention it because it seem so obvious and plain. It is very good and the quality on it has not slipped in all the time I've been eating them. I recently saw a review on them that said that Disney has a proprietary recipe with Nestle on these bars so it is not like anything you can just buy in the store. The ice cream is SUPER creamy and the ratio of chocolate coating is perfect. Not to thin, not too thick. It reminds me of the first time I had a Dove ice cream bar when they first were sold MANY years ago. They've changed the Dove bars for sure but not the Mickey bars!

The Carrot Cake cookie at the Studios is FANTASTIC. I don't typically like carrot cake, but this is something I make sure I always get when I'm there. I Also love the Citrus Swirl from the Sunshine Tree Terrace in the Magic Kingdom.

Do you know the name of where to get the Carrot Cake cookie? I need to add this to our snack list :)

The lumpia over in Pandora, AK is a surprisingly good breakfast snack (think pineapple custard egg roll, served warm). The gigantic cinnamon bun in AK is also good. In EPCOT we love Karamell Kuche, I like the cookies, esp. the german chocolate caramel. For savory over in EPCOT, I really liked the sour cream and onion popcorn over by Imagination, and the nudel gratin in Germany is a good choice. In MK Sleepy Hollow nutella waffle with fruit. In HS we like the fruit tart sold over at the Starbucks.

Here’s my list that I want to try!

AK:
Colossal cinnamon roll and elephant ear at Kusifari

DS:
Sprinkles cupcake
Ghirardelli ice cream (had this before)

MK:
Cat tail at Cheshire cafe
Pepper jack pretzel at Lunching pad
Citrus swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace
Churro ice cream sand @Sleepy Hollow
Colossal cinnamon roll @Starbucks
Nachos at Pecos Bill’s

Port Orleans FQ:
Beignets

HS:
Nutella pastry (chocolate tart) @ Woody’s Lunch box

DS:
Sprinkles cupcake

I've never tried the Sprinkles cupcake and just stayed away because I heard too many reports that they were dry. But if you want a pretty good cupcake that looks so good but is not sickening, head over to the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary. They have several different types/themes being sold every day. They look like they are stacked with heavy buttercream frosting but the frosting is actually very light and doesn't make you feel horrible. Cake part is very good too. I also had the Rose Gold cupcake over at Sunshine Seasons. It was good, but I didn't like it as much as the ones at the Contemporary.

I'm all for the specialty cupcakes around WDW that I can find. I think I found a rose gold one my last trip. I liked the Darth Vader one a few trips ago. My very favorite snack in all the world, hands down, is the milk chocolate covered caramel with sea salt at Karamel Kuche. A Mickey bar is a classic that can't be forgotten but we usually go in the heat so you have to eat it fast before it melts! My son likes to go in the Circus tent at MK and watch them make candy and picks out a cake pop sometimes, sometimes if he catches the right CM they give him one to "sample" that they have just made. There are so many snacks that I still want to try, but sometimes I don't have enough room after I've had my "must haves" that I can't try new ones. It's a #firstworldproblem for sure.

Thanks for the tip! That sounds delicious! I love the idea of the cupcake atm so I might have to try both!
