Tarzan Rocks Replaced By........

I was so happy to hear that show was being cancelled. I agree that it is one of the worst. I went with my family back in March and had no choice but to sit through it. Too bad they are keeping it running till January. I don't recommend it to anyone going in the near future. There are much better things to see and do.

Got to disagree here. I LOVE Tarzan Rocks, made sure I visited again in July. I don't think the music is too loud, find the performers very good (that's from complaints on another thread), and think Tarzan is great eye candy. I also love the roller blading monkeys. I didn't care too much for the old Jungle Book show, hope the new offering is good.

I liked the show. I agree it was too loud, but the skating monkeys were great!

Add me to those who thought it was dreadful. If I wasn't so grateful to be off my feet, I would have left the show (and I never walk out on anything!)

We still joke about how awful it was, though. In planning our upcoming trip "We're making time for Tarzan, right? Can't miss Tarzan!"

They could replace Tarzan with more bathrooms and THAT would be an improvement as far as I'm concerned....lol. It was the worst thing we saw at Disney!!!
Isn't it funny how some like it and some don't? I saw it with DS and DD this last May for the first time and thought it was really good and very entertaining.

i didn't like tarzan that much but as long as they put air condition in there im happy i almost passed out the last time i saw the show it was sooooo hot!

We started talking to this family on one of the buses and they mentioned that we HAD to see "Tarzan Rocks". Well, even if my hopes hadn't been built up I would have still thought this show was bad!

I agree, anything will be an improvement.

Aaaahhhh goold ole "friend of a friend" information. I think it's more reliable to wait for the ultimate source to provide the facts before we get all uppity about whether or not there should be a Nemo show.

Well my sister who is CM at AK had told me something about Tarzan turning into a Nemo show. Perhaps its a rumor started by CMs or they know something.

CHEERS:

We will miss Tarzan Rocks - one of our favourites at Animal Kingdom. We will get to see it one last time this November and then look forward to the replacement show, as it will most likely be great entertainment as well.

We hated Tarzan Rocks and are very happy they are ditching it. Anything, even Nemo, is a huge improvement!

My boyfriend's reaction to viewing Tarzan Rocks for the first time: "Son of Man that sucked!" :) I couldn't have agreed more, but I really didn't want him to not see any attractions just based on my opinion alone! :p

Maybe it is geared to toddler girls - my girls love it!
They love the roller skating, trapeez (sp?), singing, terk.
We will miss Tarazan, I am glad we will get to see it one last time in August.
I hope they do add airconditioning.

I've also heard CMs say there was going to be a 5th park opening by 2010...yet that's not happening so far. :) I'm sure your sister is wonderful, but until I hear it from TWDC itself, I take rumors with a grain of salt and I just don't worry about it. :sunny:

I'll actually kind of miss the Tarzan show. Not my favorite (and certainly not anywhere near as good as FOLK), but still fun to see every couple of years.

I can't see how a Nemo show would work (pay Ellen to sit up there and just keep singing, just keep singing?), and since they already have Nemo stuff at Living Seas (where it fits much better), it would seem a little redundant to me. (Although the thought just occured to me, oh, I HOPE they replace the Living Seas movie with a Nemo themed one!) (Wow, lots of parenthetical remarks from me tonight!)

I'm racking my brain, but I can't think of what other Disney movies would fit in with the theme of the land!

I sure won't miss Tarzan rocks. I saw it once and that was more than enough! I thought it was pretty cheezy for a Disney show.

I heard awhile back they were thinking of putting in a combo show with characters from Jungle Book, Lion King, something else (can't remember now) and Mickey and the gang -- I thought it was a cute idea!

I don't get Nemo in AK either...although I love Nemo!

Oh well, if it's air conditioned, I'll go see it! :rotfl:

does anyone know when? we enjoyed the tarzan show, will hopefully be able to see one last time this november or again in march.

i agree with others too much nemo, i thought they were redoing living seas with finding nemo. not that i dont like nemo but.

Latest issue of Budget Travel has a story featuring Jim Hill that claims Swiss Family Treehouse in MK will be replaced with a Tarzan attraction, FWIW.

I hope Disney doesn't just throw in a Nemo/popular show. Put some thought and themeing to it!! I still remember the origianl Jungle Book show when the park first opened. Wasn't a great show, but fit in with the ak theme then. I woudn't mind a couple of more decent rides to be put in that area. Another water ride would compliment the park nicely. It would be nice to be able to cool off on another ride besides Kali. I agree, turn down the volume, you can hear the show perfectly clear over by asia across the water!!

We saw Tarzan first time in 99, and never seen it since...dont intend too either...didn't like it at all, and it was VERY hot.

Im taking the Nemo thing with a pinch of salt at the moment.

things like this get said all the time "My sisters son, go's to college with a guy, who's ma's boyfriends cousin know someone who said" :rotfl2:
