Target's refund policy

I bought a sweater from Target. Wore it once, put it in the washer on delicate, layed it flat to dry and noticed it had a hole in it. It didn't when I was wearing it. Will Target take it back? I know it says new and unused merchandise but one washing and it tears it up! Do I have a chance? I have the receipt just not the tags that was on the sweater. Thanks!

Yes, they will. When they ask if something is wrong with the product, point out the hole. They can find the item using numbers on the tags in the shirt to match it up with the receipt. People return used clothing because of things like this all the time. They are not put back on the shelf, but marked as defective. You shouldn't have a problem returning it.

I did this with a pair of sweats I bought there. One wash and one leg shrank up and the other didn't -- and I washed on cold. I still had the receipt, but no tags. I took it in two days after buying it. They took it back, no problem. I wouldn't wait though b/c the longer you go without returning it, the more they may think you wore it a while and did something to it.

Yes! They always take my stuff that has turned to crap after washing it as instructed!
