Target Toy Clearance

Just got Home. It was like a mini- Black Friday. Unfortunately the Target in Boardman, OH didn't go to 75% off. It was all marked 30-50% off and some of the stuff rang up lower. It was a case of throwing everything I possibly wanted in a cart and hanging out by a price scanner. I put about half of the stuff back which was a shame.

The only thing I put back regardless of price was the talking Phineus and Ferb dolls. After about 10 minutes of nonstop chattering riding in the buggy, they had to go.

I ended up getting ~ $110 worth of stuff for $33 so I am happy. Christmas shopping is done for my girls!

Sounds like too many people have caught on if it was like black friday...not worth the trouble then. Thanks for reporting!:thumbsup2

I went this morning at 8:30 and there was no one there :woohoo: There were 2 employees still arranging the toys on the shelves and they were so funny they kept pointing great deals out to me. Unfortunately there wasn't too much stuff there that my boys would like but I was able to get some things for my daughter for Christmas. I spent $29 and got 8 things! 2 Olivia toys, 2 Tinkerbell figurines, a Strawberry Shortcake doll set, a My Little Pony with accessories, a case with Cars Mighty Beans and a Toy Story 3 toy for my nephew. A few things that I was interested in were still only 30 percent off unfortunately, including a Our Generation doll armoire that I really wanted to get!

I went to a couple of stores today early and they hadn't marked things down. As I was leaving one store, I saw someone marking things down, so she was nice enough to mark down some things I had in my cart. Then I went back to another one later, because I really wanted the Dance Star Mickey. Luckily they had marked those down! They hadn't gotten to a lot of it yet, and that was around 10:30. Some things were not 75% off yet, but most were.

My store hit 75% today, too - but thing were going fast. Did find a few things I wanted were still there.

these were 38.50 at our store. It's soooo adorable, I just don't have room for it!

wanted to pop in and say thank you for alerting me to this sale! I was able to get all the Christmas shopping for my nieces/nephews (11 kids in all) done this morning for under $50! I'm hoping I can go back this afternoon when my DH gets off of work so I can do some Christmas/birthday shopping for MY crew :goodvibes

:disrocks:

I worked at a Target during college and every Target is different for when items get on clearance and when they are marked down even further to 50 and 75% off. It all depends on how well/fast that toy was being sold in your particular store. So if a certain toy sold better in your store than another it will not go on clearance as quickly in your store than the other store. However, many things do go on clearance at the same time in stores if they are making room for a new toy, etc.

I picked up Cruncher, a robotic dinosaur, for my son for Christmas. He's wanted it for about a year, but at $100, I wasn't getting it. But, for $25 he can have it. Also got a mini Lego Atlantis set for $1.31. My daughter was sad there wasn't more for her; I've usually bought much more in the past, but the selection was subpar for little girls.

went this morning - hardly anyone there shopping but unfortunately nothing was marked down either. we had to wait for the markdown team who was on their break (at 8:30am? doesn't the store open at 8:00am? And man, are the stores disorganized! If you didn't know where to look, you wouldn't have been able to find anything!! There wasn't one central location for sale, you had to go through all the aisles looking for anything clearance. I lucked out with a few things. A Disney princess doll bed, a tinkerbell jewelry box (well, 3 of those actually ) some Special Agent Oso toys, some great Disney alphabet puzzles and some other miscellaneous things. All in all, not the best time, but glad that I was able to get some things for gifts and for DD!! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for telling us about this! I got a Littlest Pet Shop for $2.68, a Circo baby doll with high chair and food for $7.48, a Zoobles for $6.xx and a Transformers car for $4.48. I also really wanted a Disney princess bike for $20 off but they were out- hoping to find one tonight.

This was my third year taking advantage of this sale. I was really worried about it this year because of so many couponing blogs promoting it (not being selfish but more worried about herds of people trying to all fit into one aisle!) Luckily, I was the only one at the door when my store opened. I loaded up one cart (I'm talking LOADED, couldn't fit another thing anywhere) and checked out. My total was $191 after opening a Target card to save 5%. Then I went back for round 2 and bought another $35 worth bringing my grand total to just over $220 and I got $1,000 worth of toys!!! We had lots to pick from and the employees were super helpful pointing me to toys they hadn't put on the shelves yet so I could scoop them up :)

I got a V Reader for $15 which was my priciest purchase. I also purchased a Rapunzel doll, Tinkerbell dolls, dress up items, Cars stuff, Tonka truck, Chuck, lego sets, easy bake ovens and other things... total of 57 items all together.

Not everything at our store has gone 75% off because they are remodeling and don't have space for a clearance aisle. Some things were 75% off but a lot was still 50%. However, I got a Mater ride on toy for $9.48, some Handy Manny toys at 50%, a couple of Hot Wheels toys and an Iron Man motorcycle toy at 75%, nesting sock monkeys at 50%, Agent Oso boat at 50%, Boba Fett electronic helmet for $8.74, a Moxie Girlz Swim Magic Avery doll at 75%, some other toys, and a Graco Snugride car seat for SIL for $44.98. I spent $170. As far as toys go, I'm done with Christmas.

That's so weird how it varies from store to store. I got the Agent Oso boat for DD and it was 75% off, same with the Handy Manny dump truck :confused3 I would think that prices would be across the board. Hey, what do I know

I went back and got a talking pterodactyl for 7.48 and a Disney princess 16 inch bike for $59!

I went shopping @ 5 PM tonight and the shelves were wiped clean!!!

I did manage to get a Mega blocks pirate ship marked down to 6 dollars and and Timmy Time camera marked down to 2.50.

Ah well, I will remember to go first this next year...

I just got back from our local Target. Many shelves were completely empty, yet most of the clearance toys were not 75% off. :confused3

I got a few good deals...two wooden train sets (one construction, one farm) for $7.68 each. They were originally marked $25.xx with one marked clearance $17.xx and the other $7.68. They both rang up $7.68 though. I also got a Girl Gourmet Chill Treats maker set (that I'll probably regret buying lol) for $6. There were some board games for $4.xx, but only one that I was interested in. Those things all seemed to be around 70% off.

I picked up a couple Hot Wheels sets, one was 70% off and the other was somewhere between 50% and 70% off.

I scanned a bunch of girly toys -- Our Generation accessories, Pet Shops, and some other doll-type stuff. It all scanned as marked, which wasn't much of a clearance, maybe 20-25% off tops. :sad2:

We did pretty good also. Was very picked over by noon but you had to walk the aisles. My best find was a girls mobigo for 13.74!! Some great deals if you could find them

Got a bunch of cool Tron stuff for 75% off. Also picked up a $100 Pharoahs Quest Lego set for only $25!:cool1:

I went to 2 Targets yesterday and the variation was amazing! One still had a lot of stuff, with a handful of people in the aisles and the other had no one in the aisles, but was wiped clean. I suspect the second store was wiped clean by one family. I saw a woman with her daughter, 3 grandsons, and 2 carts full of toys. The boys were total brats! They were crying that they were not getting "very much at all" yet, "Mimi" was buying them 2 carts worth of toys! :scared1: (I know they were not going to dontation because she was pointing out items in each cart for each specific boy.) :sad2:

Despite that crazy situation I managed to get all of my Oct.-Dec. birthdays out of the way and most of Christmas done too! :woohoo: Most things were 75% off in my stores, but some Legos were only 30-50%. The cars lego sets were full price at one store and 75% off at another, the same with Star Wars Lego watches.

I had a great time at two Targets yesterday. I hit this sale every summer to stock up for my girls' October birthdays, Christmas and birthday parties. My favorite find this year was the Mystery Date game for less than $4. I bought four of them to keep in the closet for birthday parties. I also purchased Mighty Beanz and Legos for my four nephews for Christmas and birthdays.
