Do we have a "watch" going on yet? My stores have TONS of clearance stuff, but it is all still at 30%.

Someone posted recently that they were told that toys would most likely be marked down this Thursday (7/22) or next week (7/29). In the past they've been marked down the last Thursday of July. I'll be there bright and early this Thursday to check it out.:thumbsup2

I was at Target on Thursday and got some toys for 75% off. It wasn't posted but they were tagged. I got Prince of Persia action figures and a couple of other boy things. Can't remember right now. I am going back today to see if I can find anything else.

Dartmouth, MA still 30% off here and summer items (what's left) are 75% off

I was in my Target the other day and, while I didn't check the tags to see what percentage the clearance toys were at, I did notice shelves of the Princess Tiana barbie dolls marked down to $6. Too bad I don't have little girls! LOL!

I went yesterday and got the Buzz Lightyear water rocket for $10. I'm pretty sure it was originally $20.

Took a peek at the toy section today while I was there (buying a $90 calculator for my DS!:faint:) Still 30% and 50% here, and they weren't getting ready to consolidate in a few aisles like they usually do for the big clearance. So I'm guessing it will be next Thursday, as in previous years.

Many summer items were 75% off, but most summer toys were still 30%. I got:
shaped sidewalk chalk--$1.25
round serving tray--$3.50
frisbee game--$5.50
pack of 2 Disney princess puzzles--$1.25
set of 3 balls--$1.50

I was at Target today, and there was a lot of 50% off items. I bought the Our Generation Bath and shoe set! I love Christmas shopping in July!

Our target mostly has 30 percent off their toys, but some are 50. You just have to really look.

We also got the 2 pack of puzzles for 1.50, toy story crayola board 4.58, toy story table cover .75.

Also picked up the little people fairy castle for 16. Normally I like 25 or 30, and we picked up the yo gabba laptop today for 12.50 normally 25.00.

The other things I noticed were the toy story 3 remote control space ship, that was 16 on sale for 8.

I keep waiting for them to Woody and Buzz pillows on sale since the one target near my MIL had them down for ten.. but they are still 20 here.

Got a Star Wars Lego set for 25% off on Friday...I will keep an eye out in case they lower it (they will refund the difference if it's within 2 weeks). Meanwhile I'm putting it in the Hanukkah closet. I actually think we are almost done with the holidays and birthdays for our kids for the year!

I know that they will refund if it goes on sale, but you would be very lucky to get a refund on an item that goes further down in clearance. You may need to return and rebuy... you could get a stickler who insists that it has to be returned to the floor (meaning put in the back in the carts until they reshelf the returns later.)

Our Target will not price adjust anything on clearance. I am really good about keeping my receipts for about 6 months or more, so if I see something I have already purchased on clearance for lower I purchase it at the lower price and return it with the other receipt. Self price adjusting I guess. I recently did this with the Star Wars Clone Trooper gun. My son bought it with his earned money for $40 a few weeks ago. Last week he noticed it on clearance, such a good bargain shopper at 6, for $27.50. Purchased and returned with first receipt. 2 days later we were at the other Target in our area, it was marked at $20, purchased and returned with 2nd receipt. My son got his $20 back and was elated. He commonly askes if I have a coupon for _______ before we go to a store or resturant. This weekend he informed his father an I that he would like to go to IHOP since his meal would be free and we could save some $$:rotfl2: Hope he stays a bargain shopper all his life.

Has anyone "in the know" heard anything official on the 75% date? They really just started marking down to 50% last week, so I'm guessing next Thursday, the 29th, but was wondering if anyone had heard differently.

The markdown team does not know ahead of time when things are marked down. They can give you a guess, but don't know until the day of. Sorry!

Just left my Target, they are marking down to 50% off today. The lady said 75% off will probably happen next week. Last year the toys went 75% off right before August 1st.

A lot of 50% off at my Target today too. I found 2 things that were 75%--a Circo brand wooden train depot that works with Thomas/Brio train tracks and a super soaker squirt gun; they were both marked down to $5.
