Target toy clearance

We hit up Target today. Our store has 5 aisles of 30% off toys....they have not gone higher yet.

DH and I were at Target today and noticed that it looked like someone hit the toy section and ran!

We mostly just poke and look cuz our DD is still not really old enough for toys, but it seemed like almost EVERYTHING was on sale.

Tons of empty aisles, so I'm assuming in a few weeks they're going to re-stock with the new 2009 toys.

I went to our area Target on Friday and they had some stuff 50% off. I also was able to get a Sugar Cubes charm thing my dd saw in the limited too catazine but was not available online only in stores and ours didn't have them. I am not sure what they cost but I got it for $1.50. It was the only one in the store and didn't show up in their system. After checking for a price and realizing it wasn't in their system the manager asked if I wanted it for $1.50. I am sure I got a deal on it.

If they do a 50% off this year, I am hitting that. Otherwise, I am definitely waiting till 75%! 30% is too high for me to shop..

My daughter has some money left on a Target gift card and she wants the Camp Rock dance mat. Well, I would not let her get it just after Christmas when it was still $19.99. I know that price is not too bad, but she also really wanted a 3 pack of American Girl DVD's....she could not decide which to get, as she did not have enough for both, and I could not really afford the difference. So, she went with the DVD's.
Here's the strange part....I decided to check out the toy department yesterday on a tip from a friend that the big sale had begun. I wanted to get the Camp Rock dance mat and durprise my daughter....I figured it would be really cheapo now since everything else Camp Rock was on sale. Guess What!? Not only was the dance mat NOT on sale, but the ones that were on sale for $19.99 after Christmas were now put back on the regular shelf and marked $28.99!!! :confused3 Yikes....I was hoping to pick it up for about $10.00. So much for that!!

Subscribing.... last year I got there the morning they went 75% off and cleaned up rather well! :rotfl: Hoping for the same this year!!! Just gave away the last of the toys I got on clearance last year for all the Toys For Tots programs :santa:

Our Target had Fly Pens, Dance Mats and some game for the computer at 75%. I got DD a Fly Pen with the journal, but I may take it back. Seems like the paper is hard to find. Does anyone have one?

Went today to one of our stores and they had an aisle and a half of 30% off and several end caps the same. The worker had no clue but they were moving things around and have been at 30 since the day after xmas. I'm thinking that tomorrow may be there 50% off. The kids and I may have to give it a go.

Hitting Target Tomorrow !I like to stok up on Boy gifts for DGS to give as gifts at parties he gets invited to!! I still have a couple left from last year but want to restock!! If only Pokemon cards would go on 75% off !!!

Target generally marks the toys on Thursdays. Thsi year their toy clearance is late starting as normally the 75% would be going on now. My youngest dd's birthday is tomorrow and previously we catch the clearance on or just before her birthday for the 75% deals. last year we got her Leapster Lmax marked at 75%. We did find some puzzles Friday night for 75% off.

I was at our Target yesterday. They had tons of toys on clearance, only 30%off though. They had some little Mickey's, Minnie's, Pooh's and Tiggers for $4-something, little plush animals. Indiana Jones action figures for $3.80 each.

Just there this afternoon. Signs said 15% but stuff was marked 30 and 50. Last year I hit it right after they marked down-early am so I'm watching this year.

My sons birthday is the 16th and every year for the past 6 years they have gone from 30% right to 75% the Wednesday before his birthday - and if history repeats itself (and I hope it does - he wants that big magnext roller coaster set) that would be this Wednesday.

Just wondering which store this was? Thanks!!

An FYI for all you Target shoppers:

I was at my local Target (Ansonia, CT) and they had "Additonal 30% off ticketed clearance price, correct price will ring at register" signs up on all the 50% off clearance CLOTHING racks, adult, child and infants. These signs weren't on the 30% or 75% clearance racks.

When we checked at a register they told us that yes, ALL clearanced clothing (regardless of clearance %) was an additional 30% off and the cashier would ring that additional % in manually.

So we went back to the racks (my friend was with me). We were able to get some phenomenal deals on both adults and kids clothing.

Women's fleece jacket was only $6 after the addtl 30%.

I got a nice red pea coat for a little over $9.

Got my son a winter coat for next year (size 4/5), the kind with the extra warm zip out lining for a little over $8. (They also had ones for around $6 that were also very nice, no zip out lining).

Also got him several t-shirts for just over $1 (Star Wars, Iron Man, Guitar Hero) that had been on 90% clearance.

Infant/Toddler sizes of the Hanes sweats (normally $3.99) were on clearance for 50% off plus the additional 30% making them $1.40 per piece. And Circo long sleeve onesies 'separates' with matching leggings type pants were also 50% + addtil 30% off. Those came to less than $2 ea.

We saw boys Mickey underwear on clearance, those would have been an additional 30% off.

My friend got several Gilligan and O'Malley workout tees for $4 after the additional 30%.

Disney Princess set of 2 girls PJs, Christmas themed. On clearance for $4.24 minus an additional 30%. We paid $2.97 for 2 pairs of PJs! (On these there are 2 different styles; one style was regular price, the other was clearanced. So be sure to scan!)

So, great deals...hope some of your Targets have the signs! Be sure to ask as YMMV but we were glad we asked. Otherwise we wouldn't have known the additional 30% was on ALL clearance clothing as the signs were there but not on every rack.

;) That's why I always scan things at Target if I am interested in buying them. I took my ds there last week because he wanted to spend gift cards. He saw this huge remote control car for $99 original price on sale for $39. I told him it was his money and if he wanted to spend it on that, fine. We scanned it and it was only $23! He was very happy!:goodvibes

I need to go back and check the clothing- I saw all the clearance racks but they were such a mishmash of styles and sizes that I didn't want to go through them. I guess for those cheap prices they don't take time to organize by size or style. Our local Targets always seem to sell out quickly. Most of the Christmas things I wanted were gone on Dec. 26th. I managed to get two battery operated porch trees with LED lights in containers that were very nice quality plus some more outdoor lights but since I didn't get there til evening most of the "good stuff" was gone. I buy my DGS toys online at Oompa- he still puts things in his mouth so I don't get anything from China, otherwise I'd be scouting out the toys also.---Kathy

My Target never does the additional % off clearance. I wish they would I could use some work out tees. I'll be at the mall tomorrow so I'll run in and check but I doubt I'll find any deals.

Has anyone seen any Lego's in this round of Toy Clearance? Ours never makes it past 30% so I need to grab them when I see them.
