Target toy clearance

Anyone see clothes for little bears? like those fluff and stuff freinds? Im on the hunt for some clothes for our class mascot.

Our Target must not do the extra% off. i just came home from there and our clothes were marked 50% and 75% nothing extra and they had junk left. toys were 30% to very few 50% off. needless to say i didnt buy anything.

Has anyone seen any Lego's in this round of Toy Clearance? Ours never makes it past 30% so I need to grab them when I see them.[/QUOTE]

I picked up a big set of Indiana Jones Legos for $30 -50% off. I usually wait to see what I can get for 75% or 90% but snapped up this set just to be safe. They had lots of smaller sets but weren't on clearence yet.

Thanks, it looks like I'll definitely have to run up there tomorrow, hopefully it will still be there. I have never been able to find any Lego's after the first 30% markdown. I don't think many people realize that they go down even more.

Went to three different stores today. Toys were marked 30 percent but when you looked through the items most things from play wonder on the shelves were 50 percent as was anything Hanna Montana/Camp Rock/HSM (even that dance mat thing).

The Burt's Bees stuff was still only 15%.

No Christmas stuff left anywhere.

I did score one more of those circular mini-games that were on with the christmas stocking stuffers. It had no price and the cashier gave it to me for $1!!!!. She said she technically shouldn't be selling it but *shrug*! Score!!

At my Target I didn't find any great deal like I used to--only 30% off....this past Thursday (after Jan 1st) I was there & saaw a Holiday 2008 Barbie- I figured I would get it-I have been getting the collection for my daughter since 2000-but i won't pay 40 for a Barbie--anyhow....The 2008 Barbie was still 40---no clearance at all!! Crazy!

We hit our Target last night. There were tons of toys marked 30%. I am going to have to keep a watchful eye as I saw many things I was interested in. :rotfl: They had a ton of clothes and baby gear for 50-75% off. I saw a pack n play for $24!

I got a bunch of little girl clothes (3T) tonight at 75% off!:woohoo: But, our Target has 4 entire isles of toys still at 30%! I am wondering when I should check back for 50%?? Any ideas??:scared1: :rotfl: Also, lots of kids shoes 30%! Any ideas when they will go 50%?? :confused3

I got TONS of boy clothes for 75% + additional 30% tonight! 32 items for $50! I also got a few baby girl (for a friend due in May), and baby boy. I would have gotten lot's more baby boy but I am pretty much set w/hand me downs right now.

I am checking daily on the toys. It should be any day now. They have been working hard straightening and organizing!

Oh and my Target had tons of little girl shoes 75% off. The boy were only 30%. :-(

I actually asked one of my former students who works at Target when the toys were going to be marked down more. She wouldn't tell me! But she did give me this grin like "keep checking..."

Just wondering how you got "additional 30%" discount. I keep reading this on these threads but I'm confused. My husband has worked for Target for almost 10 years and they have NEVER offered an additional % off the clearance. The signs they put up say "30% or more off original prices" (or 50% or 75%, and, occasionally in Seasonal, it's 90%), so sometimes you can actually find a 75% item that's only marked at 30%, or on a 30% off rack or shelf, but in all this time, we've never been able to get an additional discount unless we use the employee discount card or Target Visa Extra 10% rewards card. I even asked him if this was new, since I haven't been in to shop for clearance clothing lately, and he said no. He's never heard of it, and he's in management. Is this a regional thing, or maybe a regular store thing (vs. SuperTarget)?

Or are people on here just thinking they got an extra 30% since the signage can be confusing (ie. said 30% but it rang up 75%)???

Please clarify, and educate me (and my hubby, too). Thanks!!!

Well, I can share one of my experiences with you regarding a similar situation. I too, had NEVER seen an add'l % off of clearance. I have 3 targets (1 is a TargetGreatland, the other 2 are regular Targets) w/in a 9 mile radius. The one that is closest is the busiest and is a regular Target. I went in about 10 days before Cmas and saw signs in the Ladies (all the sizes for females over a girls 16;) ) dept and sleepware/loungeware had signs on their clearance rack stating take an add'l 30% off of ticketed prices. Appearantly, they were the only 1 of the 3 stores doing this (I went to the other 2:rolleyes1 , no luck :headache: ). Appearantly, corporate (or whomever) was allowing the store managers to do this at their discretion if they felt that they had too much clearance mds sitting around. :confused3
I know corporate had informed me that they allow the store managers to 'site manage' their stores and they (being corporate) will NOT over-ride a store mgr's decision in the case of a dispute. BTW, I'm sure someone has a story proving that statement wrong. ;)
Anyway, so I have seen this just once in all of my years of shopping at Target which would probably be about 12 yrs now. HTH.

It was definitly an ADDITIONAL 30%. There were the regular red % off signs. The additional 30% was a white sign w/black lettering. I have NEVER seen this before. Last time it was talked about here on the dis, December was it, we did not have that.

In fact I was in there yesterday and it there was no additional. I went back today to check on the toys and there was the additional 30%. They had tons of people in the store marking stuff down.

I they had to manually key in EACH item for the additional 30%.

Cool, thanks for sharing this. Our stores are in an area that never has to worry about moving extra merchandise, so that's probably why my husband has never encountered this. I do know that they are allowed to do some things on a store level at the store manager's discretion, but his store managers have never tried this in our area yet.

Cool to know. Thanks again!

I wouldn't count on that. Our area has not really seen much of a recession yet. The store I went to today is in a VERY affluent area. The good stuff is usually gone well before the high markups. There are other targets in the area that I go to when I want to get the 75% off.

I was in Target last Friday and all the toys were 30% off. and the shelves were looking kind of bare.
I am going to check back this thursday or friday, we have a birthday party to go to in February, so I am going to need a gift.

My Targets are still at 30% on toys.

All of the clearance clothes and shoes were an additional 30% off the ticketed price at 2 of my Targets. They weren't doing the additional 30% off at my Super Target. I found some great deals on clothes for my girls.
