Target: Spend $75 and receive a free $10 Target GiftCard....

I heard this on the radio. I called the store, as I didn't catch the day. I was told Friday after 5 and Saturday before noon. I asked about coupons, as I have two $5 off $50. The total has to be pretax. I'm hoping my coupons come off the $75 and I still get the gift card. I've been waiting to do my shopping. I plan to buy pay as you go phone cards, in addition to other items. I think the gift cards refers to Target gift cards. At least I'm hoping.:thumbsup2

Aren't those considered "pre-paid cards"? The fine print mentioned pre-paid cards and Target gift cards. :confused3

I think pre-paid cards mean the pre-paid 'credit' cards: the MasterCard and VISA logo cards, and the AmEx cards.

At least, that's the discussion I'm going to have at CVS this weekend. I have a coupon for 25% off my purchase up to $99, and I need some iTunes cards and some Sprint pay as you go cards :teeth:. Hey, it can't hurt to ask. I legitimately convinced a restaurant manager last year that Christmas Eve isn't a holiday so I could use a restaurant.com gift certificate (it's not, by the way, and she agreed with my points).

This is YMMV thing. My store wouldn't let me get ANY gift cards to use with the previous round of coupons. Hopefully yours would.

Can someone post the fine print or provide a link? I can't figure out where to find it.

Never mind, found it. Here it is for anyone who might be interested.
"*Free $10 Target GiftCard offer valid on a single, in-store transaction of $75 or more based on merchandise subtotal (after all applicable discounts). Offer valid Friday, Dec. 16 5 p.m. to close, and Saturday, Dec. 17, open to noon. Interesting. Maybe my $5 coupons are a better way to go. I'll check it out, prior to purchasing anything.

Can you get this promo online, or will I actually have to go to the Target? Def worth it if I can get free shipping. :santa:

Just trying to clarify:
Does this mean that if I buy $75 worth of Disney gift cards with my Target cc & get the 5% discount, that the $10 gc won't apply?
TIA

Going to try this today. Luckily we have a Target just 10 minutes from our house and we still need lots of stuff for gifts.

Jen.

You know, I have no idea. When they did the $50/$10 card I bought a $50 Disney card, gave them my coupon. They gave me the $10 card and then I saved $2 with my Red Card.

Maybe so. They added another picture on their facebook page that says *Restrictions apply to gift cards (not capitalized or put together). See Guest Services for details."

However, the flyer says the other thing. Huh.
I am going to try it with one set of $75. We will see....

My DH just sent me a text after leaving Target and from I understand he grabbed a few small items and $75 in Disney gift cards and got the free $10 Target gift card!!! :cool1: I had given him a $5 off $50 Catalina and I'm pretty sure he was able to use it as well.

Hope this helps ~ I need to do Target tomorrow morning as well but I might only need to throw in a $25 Disney gift card :rotfl2:

Heather

I also went to Target today and received the $10 free gift card after purchasing a $50 Disney gift card and the set of 8 Disney princess dolls. I think it's allowable because the Disney gift card rings up as an "entertainment" item. I went in with the expectation that it might not work. But since I intended to get these items anyway I was willing to try and see what happened.

I was just there and got 2 cards because I spent $200. But, the deals on sale were fantastic! 40% off slippers, hats, gloves, scarves, sleepwear, 50% off all food gift sets, gingerbread huuse kits, etc! Lots of great deals!

I went to Target and purchased $25 and $50 Disney Gift Cards and a couple dollars in other merchandise for a total of $83.54. I got my 5% Target Red Card discount and my $10 Target Gift Card.

The lady in front of me spent lots and received 4 $10 Target Gift Cards. I asked if you could get more than one with a single purchase and the cashier said only if you specifically mention and ask for them.

So far this month, I have a total of $50 in Target Gift Cards - Yeah!!

I bought my phone card, pj bottoms, m&ms, a shirt and curling iron. I had two coupons for a total of $8 off and got a $10 gift card. I asked about the promo at the service desk when I walked in. Those ladies told me no, the same restrictions posted here. When I got to the register, I asked the cashier and she said they worked, because someone previously bought phone cards. I was told one gift card, regardless of how many multiples of $75 you had. If it were me, I would go to a different register.;)

Do it like the Extreme Couponers :rotfl2: Just buy $75... ring, check up - then the rest of the order is different - buy $75... separate transactions!

I went in today - I was going to get a Kindle Touch - but they were sold out - I picked a couple of items - and was shocked at the prices! They are having a big sale to pull you in for sure!

Now that I know about the Disney Gift Cards - Im going back

I did this exact thing when they gave out Gift Cards with the $50 purchase & coupon. I printed multiple coupons.

The kids, DH, and I went...for each $75 worth, we got a Target GC AND a $10 off $100 purchase coupon printed after the transaction each time!!!
So, I bought $100 GCs, used the coupon (making them $90) and earned the $10 bonus GCs.

We did the same, goofyfedraider... And went to more than 1 Target...
When we got home there was a msg from Target Card Services about suspicious activity on my card!
I had to call back and explain what I did.:scared:
