I was at Target the other day to return some jeans. Had a 'gift receipt' but wasn't sure it
was the correct one. It wasn't. The lady asked how I paid for them. I said by check, probably, that's how I make most of my purchases. At that point she said, well, just give me a blank check to run thru the scanner, and if you made the purchase by check, it will show up and you can make the return.
So, for those who are panicing about keeping receipts, or not shopping there because you must have a receipt to return an item, please be aware that they can/will track your purchases made by check and will still issue a refund if the purchase was made by check.
