Just got an e-mail from Target that says:
Earn 5% off even faster.
During October’s Double Credit Days – every eligible prescription filled counts as two credits.* Filling five just got a whole lot easier. But hurry - ends October 31st.

Faster way to get to another 5% off Disney cards!

Good to know! I was wondering if they'd do another one this year. Although, I think I'm only 1 away from my 5%. I need to arrange that so it's good over Black Friday!

Yay! I just filled one today to the tune of $104. At least it will be double rewards. :rotfl:

Can you transfer a prescription or does it have to be a new script?

You can definitely transfer a prescription. We only have 1 active prescription in our house...Zyrtec for my daughter. Our insurance plan has a $0 copay as long as it is written as "dispense OTC" so not only do we get the pharmacy rewards credit, we don't have to pay anything out-of-pocket. We'd been going to Walgreen's for years, simply because they are open 24 hours, but we decided to switch to Target when I found out you can stack the 5% Rx Rewards with the 5% RedCard rewards. That will save us almost $100/yr off our DVC annual dues!

I wonder if this applies to the flu shot. I got a card in the mail letting me know that if I get a flu shot in the Target Clinic in my store, it will found as a filled script. It would be cool if the shots all 4 of us get would be doubled.

OT but does anyone know if target is doing the flumist or do they only have the flu shot.

If your target has the clinic inside, they do the flu mist there. The pharmacies only have the injection.

Yes it does count double if you get the flu shot! A nice DISer posted a week ago Target was going to offer double points for October so we waited and went yesterday to get our flu shots for DH and I. I called Target RX first to confirm it would count twice and also when I checked out and swiped my Target red card to "pay" the clerk automatically told me I'd get 4 points for the two of us. :thumbsup2

Our Target had the flumist however I know the min age is 14. My DS gets the flumist however since he is almost 10 we had to get his at the pediatrician. I don't think ours is considered a clinic either. :confused3

Silly question...since they are doubling the points for October, what happens if you fill, say, 5 prescriptions? Do you get credit for 10 and therefore receive TWO 5% off discount cards? I'm new to the pharmacy rewards program so I am curious how that works. I have my "annual" physical today (by "annual" I mean I haven't had one in 10 years:worried: ) and I am worried about what goodies my doctor may have in store for me:crazy2:. If I suddenly need various prescriptions, I want to make sure they are filled at Target. I can already think of two that I plan on asking for and then there's always the possibility that I may need thyroid or cholesterol meds since those problems run in my family:rolleyes2.

I would think yes, since you get a coupon for every five filled prescriptions.

Thanks!

I would assume that they are not stackable with each other, though, right? My best-case scenario is a pharmacy rewards + RedCard + hopefully they send the 5% coupon in the holiday mailer this year:teacher:. I have about $900 in gift cards to buy for our DVC dues and this triple-stack combo would save us about $129! That's almost two months of dues FREE:cheer2:!

So is this something I have to sign up for or will it be automatic since I will be using my target card.

The pharmacy rewards program is a separate program with a separate card.

It was automatic when I got my Target debit card. The rewards are tied to it and I don't have a separate card. I did not use the Pharmacy Rewards prior to have the Target debit card.

You still need to sign up and give the names of everyone who will participate under your Pharmacy Rewards account. I had to add my dog to my account and now I can either pay with my REDCard or use cash and show my Pharmacy Rewards card. Participation in the Pharmacy Rewards program is not automatic just because you have a Target card.

I'll the honest I'm not 100% sure how it all works however I have learned I get credit for an Rx as long as I use my Target Red card to pay. For example I've never put anyone in my list as far as I know and I know I didn't list my sister but when I picked up her Rx and used my Target Red card to pay, I got credit for it. I was told I could give her phone number for her to get credit but she has no problem helping me earn rewards. :thumbsup2

Has anyone done this and it only shows up as one more on your receipt? I had 3 and after a prescription today it said I have 4
