Target pharmacy discount on Disney cards

I work for Target and I just found out that, effective today, they are not allowing the pharmacy 5% discount on any 3rd party gift cards. The regular red card 5% is still allowed. Spread the word on the rest of the forums.

No they do not allow employee discount as of yesterday. Believe me I know I lost over 100 by waiting one day to buy them

Yup, I found this out the hard way. I was going to go on Thursday to buy our $300 in gift cards, but waited until Friday (which is when DD's prescription was ready) and the discount was not in effect. I'll have to adjust my budget a bit, but the 5% RedCard discount is better than nothing.

My DH will be happy. The only reason we switched our prescriptions to Target was for that extra 5% off on the Disney gift cards. Now that it does not apply, we can go back to Walgreen's. I don't get out of work until 7pm which is after the pharmacy at Target is closed. Walgreen's is closer, always open and they have a drive-thru. Without the pharmacy rewards, there is no reason for us to continue to use Target's pharmacy.

It is such a bummer.

We were able to pick up $250 a few weeks ago stacking the red card, pharmacy and employee discounts. But today it was red card only.

I so wish I had asked my DH to get some last weekend instead of waiting until this week. :-(

Oh well, 5% is better than a sharp stick in the eye, right?
