I know that when you buy Disney gift cards at Target and pay with your Target card, you get 5% off. I also know that there is usually a pharmacy promotion that gives you a coupon for another 5% off if you transfer a certain number of prescriptions. Is anyone aware of any other ways to get an additional 5% off coupon? Fortunately, my family is healthy and we don't have any prescriptions to transfer. :flower3:

The Target Pharmacy deal is for every prescription filled (it doesn't have to be a transfer) they will mail you the 5% off a day of shopping (one time checkout). Thus getting 10% off of everything (including gift cards!) when you use your Target debit or credit RedCard.

Watch the Target website because every now and then they will have a promo (as they did a few weeks ago) that would give you the same discount if you purchased a Target gift card online at their website. You would then just need to go buy your gift cards in the store. Don't you just love saving like that?!

Where are the gift cards located at your Target? I've never noticed them at mine. Jewel and Walgreens seen to have them in a noticeable place...maybe my Target doesn't carry them??

My Targets have them in the electronics section.

Unfortunately, I fill many prescriptions and participate in the Target Pharmacy Program. Just wanted to make a teeny, tiny correction in your post.....For every 5 prescriptions you fill, Target will mail you out a 5% of shopping pass, valid for a day like you mentioned. :thumbsup2

I wish you got a 5% discount pass for each prescription you filled....I'd be buying out the store! :rotfl:

Do they have to be 5 different prescription? Or, if I get just 1 refilled each month, after the 5th month we get the 5% off?

The last sentence....just needs to be 5 "fills", even if it's the same prescription.

I just hit our biggest Target looking for them an hour ago, and they were no where to be found :confused3 All they had were a few pitiful restaurant cards up by the checkouts. Nothing back in electronics, or anywhere else in the store. So I think some stores just don't carry them.

I was at a Target on the weekend and they didn't seem to carry them either. Looked at me like I was nuts. On the other hand, I was at Office Max and needed to spend $5 to get a free composition book. My DD desperately wanted it (although she has LOTS of notebooks already at home). I only had to buy a $1.79 gold sharpie there and refused to spend unnecessary money to get free books. Then I saw they had Disney gift cards. I needed to pick up a $50 one anyway so I got one. they gave me 5 free composition books and my DD was in heaven.

I went to my usual target to pick up some and they didn't have any on the rack near electronics, where I usually get them. I asked if they had any and was told no we don't carry Disney GC. When I told her I had bought them in the past she just shrugged. :confused3 I went to another Target and they didn't have any, I got the last 2 at a third store.
I wonder if they will not be carrying them anymore.:worried:

WOW, if they don't carry them anymore that will be a sad sad day for Dis'ers. I wonder if Target caught on though and decided to do away with them until they got them reset as 'gift cards' in their system instead of 'entertainment cards'?

I have been able to find Disney GCs at our Targets in the electronics/book section only. They don't always have them - I have decimated the supply at both our local stores when they are available though. Store A replenished after a few weeks, Store B has yet to replenish. Just keep checking, and try to talk to someone at Customer Service. I have found that I get the best help there when I have questions or issues.

I hope hope hope that Target is not going to mess this up for us! Hopefully they are just slow restocking. Fingers crossed.

My store didn't have ANY gift cards anywhere in electronics or books or by the greeting cards or anywhere else. They weren't missing just Disney cards - they had no giftcard display whatsoever (other than Xbox gift cards and the like). The few they had were up at the checkouts, and those were just the few pitiful restaurant cards (Applebees) and iTunes.

I'm going to check another store in the morning - I'm hoping it's just this one store that doesn't carry them :confused3

Sometimes you can find the gift cards over by the computer games. Different stores can have them in different areas.

Also, if a team member says they don't sell gift cards, ask for entertainment cards or Starbucks cards.

A lot of team members don't know that the stores carry Disney gift cards. My DH didn't know it until I told him one day and showed him where they were. LOL! And he's worked there for 22 years. :rotfl2:

So I went to three targets today and had the darndest time finding any. I spoke with the manager at the first one and she told me they didn't have any even though target.com said they did. She then told me even if they did that I couldn't use my 5% off on gift cards. I didn't even bother to point out that due to the board that I knew you could and also I checked all the fine print and it doesn't say that anywhere so I would have argued it anyway. So I called the other ones in the area and one said they were discontinuing them at all Targets and they didn't have any more. The next one had some but said they were discontinuing carrying them too, so the girl pulled the few they had left so I could come buy them. They didn't give me any problems with the sale and were awesome. She actually thought using it to buy gift cards was a great idea! Hahahaha. But yeah, I had to call to have them tell me where they were in the store and then hunt them down. Unfortunately looks like this is gonna be the last ones I get.
