Target Disney Gift Cards Back in Stock

Sorry I just wanted some clarification. If I purchase a disney gift card ($50) and use my red card I will get 5% off. But I do not quite understand the purpose of also purchasing a Target gift card first and using them in conjunction with the red card as well. Do you get a discount on the Target gift card purchase too? I went and got a red card from target but it will take several days for me to receive it in the mail but I can use my receipt to use the red card in the store. Is there a reason in my situation to use the red card online and not in the store? Thanks

I think most people using the Target GCs are using ones from in store promos or coupons for buying other items. So they are not purchasing them to buy the Disney gift cards.

Since ebates is a fail, can anyone confirm that ShopAtHome dot com does work for the Disney gift cards purchased at Target?

Update! I waited until my Target order was shipped and emailed Ebates tonight since the cash back hasn't posted. I got an email saying it had posted and sure enough I checked again and I earned $3.80 on my $200 Disney gift card order (which I paid $190 using my Target Red card).

So - so far so good

Ebates told me (after I purchased 2 separate orders thru their site) they do not offer the 2% cash back on Target Disney cards. They also told me that it was Target's policy - not theirs... think I may ask again if other people are getting the money back.

I'm so sorry you were told differently (and others). I'll be honest, I'm a little leery but let me tell you what I just noticed. I had mentioned the Target credit wasn't posted so I had emailed them. Then w/in an hour I had a response, she said the points were there. Indeed I see the credit of $1.80. I had ordered something from Kohls the day prior and that order was also not posted yet. I went through the tracking tickets, clicked on Kohls (and Target when I did that order), it pulls up their webpages so then I closed out. Next I did the contact customer service, filled in all the info and hit send. Well, this time I checked after doing my Kohls one and wouldn't you know it, my credit for the Kohls suddenly is there? It's like they were "hung" or something? Perhaps try doing those steps and see what happens? Strange it's happened twice in a row now for me.

I'm due for a cash out on 8/15 I believe so I'll be happy to post if I indeed really do get the $1.80 for the Target Disney cards and I do, I might go this route in the future to save a little more.

They have a credit card and a debit card (links directly to your checking account) both earn 5% off purchases and free shipping online. You can apply online for the Credit Card but have to either apply by mail or in store for the debit card.. the forms can be found on their site: target.com/redcard

ALSO - how long does it take to actually have you GC in hand once you order? I will have money to buy on the 8th but NEED it by the 18th so I would probably just go to the store to buy but if they come quickly and I can earn some cash back buying online I might just do that..

For the others - I'm sorry it didn't work out Did you try the steps I mentioned above? Not sure it mattered but I know after I did my Kohls one, the points immediately were there and it's like they were "hung". I do understand why the gift cards wouldn't be eligible but seems sort of not fair and odd some are getting credited another others are not?

Another update! I ordered another $100 from Target online, through Ebates this past Sunday. My order shipped the same day and I should have it any day. I decided to email Ebates again since I didn't get credit again and this time, NO GO. I got the same reply that some of you did, "the order had been cancelled, returned, rejected by Target etc." I wrote them back and sent the copy of the order invoice from Target as requested and then I got the reply it's not valid on gift cards.

So - moral of the story - don't count on Ebates to give credit for the gift cards online, but if you do get credit awesome.

I'm not going to order online anymore and will just do through the store since I'm fortunate to have a Target store nearby.
