Target Disney Gift Card

Thanks, But won't they just take them at the registration desk and apply to the account? I won't get them back will I?
They will be returned to you. At least, they have always returned mine to me.

If you are staying for a long trip you might want to put a few on your account at a time. Carry some in your bag and go over if you do not see a line. I do not know why but it took forever to add giftcards at AoA. The cast members were all nice about it but I have never seen it take so long to use a giftcard. I used different CMs each time by the way.

I won't be staying at Disney until 2014. Does anyone know if these gift cards expire?

Disney gift card has no expiration date . You can purchase them and use them for your next year trip . There is no problem . We used Disney gift cards for our May trip . Have a magical card . We may see you at the World in 2014.:yay:

Tip: Yesterday I used my shopkicks to buy Disney gift cards. I redeem my points for Target gift cards and bought two Disney gift cards $50.00 each and paid with the target gift cards directly from my phone. I got $100 worth for free.

I need two more cards before my trip to Florida in July and I will have the park tickets for free. It is only my husband and myself and we are going only to Hollywood Studios one day.

I checked the cards and I didn't see expiration date on it.

I'm not going until November 2014, and I've already started picking up $25 every two weeks (pay day)! I'm up to $100 so far. I'm only using them for extra spending money/food/alcoholic beverages. I work at CVS and we carry the Disney GC so it's easy for me to just grab it there on pay day. Really don't miss the $25! We did this for our November 2012 and loved it. My DH was terrified that we had $500 worth of gift cards that were going to be turned away. Let's just say I made a firm believer out of him with the gift card strategy!!!

We will be going Nov 2014 too! I'm glad to see someone else already making plans for then too. The idea of $25 per pay check is great. I'm going to start that this week!

Lots of people frown on this strategy with a lot of what ifs......what if you need that money for an emergency. My response for the what ifs are that my $25 every two weeks is not going to make or break me. That $25 could daily be thrown away at any stop at a convenience store or dollar store on stuff we don't need. And even if my trip were to be postponed (I never use the word cancel) my DGC aren't going to expire so I can use them any time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE buying my Disney GC every pay day. It may be a mind thing but it totally works for us!!!

Returns on things you buy with Disney Gift Cards are complicated. Many times, they require the actual gift card in order to process the transaction. So let's say you pay your down payment on a vacation and you have to cancel. Had you paid in cash/credit, you'd get your money back. Had you paid in Disney Gift Cards, your money is forfeit unless you kept your original Disney Gift Cards. They won't issue the balance to a new gift card (I know, come on).

So the same thing may happen at a Disney resort. If you apply your gift card to your account and you have a balance at the end of the vacation, they might require your zero balance gift card to apply the balance. So don't trash them until after the balance is both applied AND spent on things you won't be returning for a refund.

I know in my case of Dh's AP upgrade fisco the refund was returned to his GC and the number was also used to review the "case" thank goodness it was his gc not my 98 zillion I had used for my upgrade.

You can use Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards? Does this always work or does it depend on the cashier? Are Disney gift cards available for sale at other stores like Walmart, Meijer, or Kroger? Can I use store gift card to buy Disney ones at these stores as well?

Disney giftcards are considered entertainment cards that is why you can use Target giftcards to buy them. If the cashier gives you trouble(which they should not) ask to speak to someone else. On this board people have said that they have had trouble, but at least where I work someone is always there that knows the rules. Usually the cashier will try to put something through and see if it will work with the system.

When you order them online it gives you the 5% an free shipping. You could order 10 of them an it doesn't care, the cashier shouldn't either!

I just received my first pharmacy rewards. I received an online 5% and store 5%. Can I use both? Or just one?
