Target Disney Cards Fear

I am a Target shopper...i buy the Dis gift cards all the time they usually only have $50.ones...but i think Walgreens or Jewel has the $100.... We charge everything on our room key and usually the nite before we leave i go down with about 10 g. c. and pay the balance...sometimes up to $1000 or more.. It takes a little time so i wouldnt try to do this the morning you are leaving.. I have bought these for years...I do keep all the receipts tho...but have never had a problem...

So do you still give a credit card number to be associated with your account? I want to try this so I can save money at Target but I'm afraid that if I use my KTTW card for charges then they'll use my credit card.

The key is to go pay off the balance before they charge your credit card.

Go to the lobby the night before departure and apply your gift cards to your account to clear up any room charges. It works very well :)

They will charge your credit card once you hit the level of room charging allowed at your resort ($500 for Values, $1000 for Moderates, and $1500 for Deluxe) so you need to go to the front desk *before* that happens. For our trip this past June we stayed at AoA, had 6 people in our family, and didn't have the dining plan so it only took us about 2 days to hit the $500 mark. Our credit card was charged by the time I went to the front desk to apply the GC's. It wasn't a big deal because I knew our charges would far exceed the number of GC's I had left (I used most of them to pay off the trip at the 45 day mark). I just made sure to stop at the front desk the next day to apply the GC's. So my advice is to have a rough idea of what your daily charges are and head to the front desk before you hit your limit. Waiting until the night before you leave might be too late. The front desk CMs at AoA said they run reports twice a day to check room charging balances and if they are getting close to $500, they'll process the credit card so that guests KTTW cards aren't denied while they're out in the parks.
