A few weeks ago I got a raincheck for a water table Target had on sale for $10 off.....I looked for about 2 weeks and started to ask at customer service. They would tell me it was available at store X...Y and Z. X and Y are fairly close, so I go to X and they tell me they have none, but Y has 2 of them. I went ot Y last night and they had NONE and have no intention of getting this item back in stock!!!!!

I asked the guy, why give a rain check on an item you have no intention of ordering more of. It's really frustrating as I was getting this as a birthday gift and now they have nothing like it. (I wasn't nasty, but he could he the frustration)

He told me to pick something else out an he would mark it down. He said "I want you to leave my store a happy customer"

I got something that was the same price as the orginal item and he marked it down!!! I left their store a happy customer and will now make that the Target I shop at, even though it is just a lil further than the other 2!!!!!!!!

My Target could care less about you leaving a happy customer. I have sworn off Target more than once, but always end up going back. I just like that store too darn much!!:rotfl: I wish they would do something to improve their customer service around here, because it is sorely lacking.

That's a great experience you had!! It is also what "customer service" is all about --- he save you the $10 and kept you as a customer. I wish all stores could be like that!

(I don't know if your target does this, but when I get a rain check from Target, they list all the local Targes on the bottom of the raincheck with the phone numbers so you can call each location to see if they have the item in stock)

I worked CS at Target for 9 years and I'm so glad they accomodated you. This isn't always the case. They use to tye our hands so bad it was hard to make a guest happy even if you wanted to.

I bought a mixer at Target for $50 and the next week it went on sale for $25. I went by the store, purchased a mixer at $25 and brought it up to the front with my $50 receipt. The CS girl told me she couldn't take that mixer back because it had to be the mixer I bought, even though it was the same barcode and everything. I said fine, I'll go home and get my mixer. Ran some errands and went back with the mixer they wouldn't take back, and she took it back, no problems. Just angered me with all the running around I had to do when they could've handled this with no probs in the first place.

I've done that many times before. It must have had a different UPC # or it would have scanned right with the receipt.

No it had the same UPC #, and when I went back, everything scanned right. She saw me walk out of line with the mixer and up to her desk and decided to make it hard for me all the way around.

I was so mad a couple of weeks ago at Target. I called the store to ask if their Pepsi was on sale and how much it was. The man in the department told me that it was on sale and how much it was and that it was ending this evening. I drove the half hour over there at 8:00 at night to get the sale. When I arrived it had a different price on it. I went up to the desk and politely explained my situation to her. She was a complete witch acting like I was going to take her first born. I asked to speak to the manager in that department. I explained to him what happened and he said to go buy as much as I would like and that the girl at the service desk would call him back up when I was finished. Well, I bought the Pepsi and when I came back up she called someone else, not him, so I had to explain the whole thing again. This manager also agreed with me and told her to give it to me. She was wicked mad. I then gave her my Pepsi coupons. She looked at me like I was burning her or something and called the manager back over like I wasn't even there and she said, now she thinks she is going to use coupons. The manager accepted them. She was a complete witch. I don't understand what she was thinking. She was horrible. She also made me take all of the soda out of the carriage instead of just counting how many I had of each and scanning that one that many times.
