Does anyone know if you can use the coupon that came out with the Christmas gifts book towards Disney Gift Cards? The exclusion is no gift cards bus Disney cards are entertainment cards. What do you think?

I would like to know as well... we are going to Disney for Christmas and plan on getting my teens all types including Disney gift cards for Christmas gifts.

It didn't work for me last year. I believe the only discount Target allows on entertainment cards now is the Red Card 5% discount.

Oh no! Not this again... Gift cards are gift cards. There is no such thing as an "entertainment card." It's a gift card, and therefore the discount should not apply. Look, I'm all for saving a buck, but this question comes up over and over with Target and people kick and scream to get their way.

People on the dis were outraged last year because they were not allowed to use the coupon for gift cards.

Ok, maybe the discount 'should not' apply, but a few years ago, it did. After it was exploited on some deal websites, in later coupon releases, Target closed that loophole. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say there is no difference between the Target gc and the 3rd party gc. My advice would be to go up and try to use it. Worst thing is they try and ring it up, and it doesn't work. Just don't be that person that whines if that happens

Right, I agree that it's fine to try it. And I agree that if it doesn't work, don't whine or complain or demand to see a manager and force their hand to give you the discount. That all happened last year and there were huge threads about it here and people boasting about getting managers to push it through for them. Sure enough, shortly after, the 5% pharmacy rewards quick working on 'entertainment cards'. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. If we are not careful, we'll lose the precious discount we still have.
