Target Coupon $10 off $100 purchase - DID NOT WORK

Went to Target today and purchased $300 in Disney Gift Cards. When I tried to use the $10 off a $100 purchase coupon that I received in the mail from Target a few weeks ago, DID NOT WORK. Gave the error about not spending enough in my cart.

Hope this isn't a sign of things to come ... counting on that 20% black Friday coupon covering the rest of my tickets.

I got an email today with a special offer of $5 off a $50 purchase online. The email noted that I had been viewing the iPad Air and offered me this promo code, which did not mention any exclusions other than electronics and clearance items and that it could not be counted toward shipping & gift wrap.

I immediately tried to use it to purchase a Disney gc but it would not go through. I called CS and the first woman told me that she couldn't find that promo code but would manually take off $5, but then she transferred me to the Red Card dept since I was using my red card and they wouldn't do it. I may try calling again tomorrow .

I did try using the promo on something else on the site to see if it worked, which it did, so it appears that in this case they've excluded gift cards even though they are not specifically mentioned.

Did you have $100 AFTER all discounts, coupons, cartwheel, red card?

As the computer only calculates the $100 amount...after all discounts.
Ie you have to buy more than $100 in items for the coupon to work when using any form of discount.

Yes, I purchased $300 in Disney Gift Cards in that transaction and the error was before we ran my Redcard ... so well over $100.

So, this coupon definitely did not apply to entertainment cards.

It excludes all gift cards -- Target and otherwise. I purchased $500 worth of Disney GCs and tried to use the coupon it -- I had about $80 of other items. The coupon says "Excludes gift cards, Target Mobile purchases and prescriptions."
