Target Clearance - WOW!

WooHOO.. great target deal hunt for me today!
I have been keeping an eye on a Scwhinn 20 inch Stingray (Orange County Choppers styled/logo) to make it to the lowest mark down..

The Target on one end of town had already clearanced out and all gone, the one closest to me was stuck at $74.

Thursdays are sporting goods mark downs and on a whim DH and I decided to try one more time. On another board someone had posted the DPCI number from the receipt (082050032) punched it in and YEAH!! It was $37.48 ! My boys had a blast taking turns on the "cool bike" -- DH had fun, he rode it over to the car and whined that he wanted one his size LOL!!!

We checked Target yesterday... I want to get a vinyl deck storage box and was hoping they might put it on sale with the rest of the patio stuff, but no luck so far - it was still full price.

I was there this morning. I was hoping the summer clothes would of been marked down lower.........I can wait!!

I did get a 2 pk of Bounty towels for .77, a quart bottle with the freezer insert for $1.24 (DH takes Gatorade to work in his cooler), small tumblers with cute patterns for .34, water balloons for .29 (I KNOW I'm going to hate myself for this!! ). I found girls capri sleep pants at 50% off (they were about $5.00). I think I might be returning them though. I got the right size, but when I looked at them at home when they were off the hanger, they are wider than me!!

Our Target went to 75% off summer patio, dishes, glasses, baskets, misc toys, chairs too - this morning. Kids toys and summer clothes were only 30% off. No more Video Now, only headphones and no Juiceboxes. Summer items going fast . . .even had a group of Target employees scooping up bargains for some kind of raffle.

No more Video Now, only headphones and no Juiceboxes. Summer items going fast . . .even had a group of Target employees scooping up bargains for some kind of raffle.

I was able to scoop up a couple of small shatterproof water bottles with a freezer insert & small fans for our trip

We went to our local Target a couple of nights ago and got Mulan and Brother Bear (2 disc editions) for $10 each! My DH scanned them under those check the price machines just to make sure it wasn't a pricing mistake.

They had Depps PotC and a few others that we already had....but what a deal! I LOVE Target

We just got back from my local Target and we got alot of stuff that was 75% off. It was just one isle and it was packed with people. I bought 4 of the large 2 person beach towels for $4.99 each (were $19.99). I bought 2 straw holders with straws (blue) for $0.99 each. DD got several patriotic themed t-shirts and shorts for $1.00 each - she is a big girl (16 1/2 kids size) and the XL in the kids size fits her (we bought some when they were 50% off). They also had some flavored water and boxes of fruit punch - did not get any of those.

I also found some 2 1/2 gallon zipper plastic bags - the box says it is largest zipper bag made. DD will use them to pack for our trip next month.

Target clearance is like an addiction for me!

Just went over to the new IKEA store that just opened here. Ah, I love the smell of pressboard and laminate in the morning-I think I missed the curve where I was buying furniture that was made more of paper than of wood-that was me 10 years ago...

Did I hear you say IKEA store????? Where oh where is it located???? I can find none in Florida and wouldn't you know that the minute I left Dallas they put one there!!!!!! I love IKEA.

Just got back from Target- I got those cute fabric lined baskets for $1.25 each. Very cute. They had tons of nice beach towels for $2.50. Most of the good plastic dishes and cups were gone.

I stopped at two Targets on the way home. The first had one rack of stuff left, mostly the plastic dishes, beach towels, and a few kids' ts and shorts. I got 6 pairs of shorts for DS6 at $1.24 each. They were all alike except three different colors, but that should get him through the rest of the summer. Got a couple of the big beach towels mentioned above, the last kids' beach chair which had no tag (probably the only reason it was still there) for $2.49 and one nice beach mat for $5.49.

I was inspired enough to go to a second store, but they had almost nothing left. I did get a cute set of salt and pepper shakers and matching napkin rings for a gift and a couple of the water bottles with the freezable inserts.

Neither store had any big bargains on toys that I could find. Lots at 30% off. I was tempted by a Wiggles accordian that was 1/2 off, but they had more than one, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they go down more.

Also stopped by the Disney store today and all the clearance was still 30% off. I had hoped to get a couple of gifts since I didn't have the kids with me, but they were out of what I wanted.

How about hoses? We need a new hose and would love to get one on sale. Anyone seen them?

Just FYI, apparently, it is not good for a hose to have child inflicted "kinks" in it for many minutes at a time. This seems to cause leaks in the rest of the hose. Who'd a thunk it?

There were lots of hoses, but I didn't check the price. I think they were in the 30% off section.

Hubby works at Target. He works in the toy department, according to him the toy department will be doing a major reset at the end of the month. He said that this means lots of stuff going on clearance!!

Does he know when they will be marked 75% off? I saw tons of toys at 30% off, but that isn't enough, lol.

He said that it depends on how fast or slow they sell. The slower they sell the quicker they will be marked down. The area is being reset in about a week. So things should be starting to get marked down. I will keep an eye out and let you know when they go down quicker. If it is seasonal merchandise it gets marked down quicker. If it is regular merchandise it depends on the store. Some stores could mark down their regular merchandise before others. So if they are a high volume store for toys, you won't see as much clearance, but if the store doesn't sell many toys then stuff will go on clearance faster. Does that make sense? If not I can have hubby come on later and explain it better..

Oh, oh, oh, and the Video Now Colors are now on clearance for under $25.00.

So glad I didn't pay $60+ for one at Christmas.

Ugh.. You can count me in for paying the full price!! My 13 yr old just HAD TO HAVE one at Christmas and it was the only thing she was asking for so of course I got it and invested in some movies for it.. Needless to say she hasnt used it but maybe once or twice!! .. she's asked for money this year so she can go shopping at the mall for clothes and makeup.. so this year will be much easier!!

I had to go back to target yesterday to return a leotard that was too big and I went to a different target than I normally do, and *this* target had two aisles of stuff 75% off!

I of course went nuts, I bought a bug catcher/looker for the girls for 1.99, and a bunch of cool acrylic glasses with 50's retro barbecue images for 30c each.

Man, there's nothing like a sign that says 75% off to send me into such a frenzy. I think they put something in the air at Target that makes you buy way more than you intended to...

Now I'm promising my husband that I won't go back to Target until august!

I went to 2 Targets yesterday. The 1st one was almost empty, so I headed to my next stop. I got 2 boxes of fruit punch (.74 each), a big beach towel for 2 (4.99), 2 cute throw pillows (yellow/lime and a pink/red for 2.xx ea), a pink picnic blanket in a carrying case (4.99), 2 kids picnic sets (2.49 ea) and some more stuff I can't think of right now. They also had tons of candles, paper plates and napkins, 4th of July shirts, napkin holders and margarita glasses.
Does anyone know when it will go to 90% ? Thanks!
