Has anyone tried the new Choxie chocolates at Target? I read about them in a magazine, but could not find them on Target.com. They look interesting.

They gave me a free sample when I was there on Saturday. I didn't eat it though, I just stuck it in my purse.

They had several flavors to choose from.

DH and I tried some of the truffles the other day - they were ok - I wouldn't buy them again but I would try some of the other chocolates.

I tried the mint and peanut butter at two different stores over the weekend. They were good, but not excellent, and I do not think they are worth the high price tag. I think Hershey's Mint Kisses and Reese's are way better.

Thanks...I was wondering about price. They looked unique, but sounds like not so hot.

I tried one of the ones with peanut butter and I was not impressed. Fancy packaging but there is much better chocolate available for less. JMHO... :)

they are fairly expensive. I usually love expensive chocolate (godiva.. mm..) but I'm afraid to try these because i doubt they'll live up to the price tag.

tricia.

Haven't tried them, but they sure look pricey (they were on sale in this week's flyer). I'm not sure what Target was thinking, going after this market--there are plenty of decent chocolate companies that have quality products at lower prices, whether you favor Hershey's or Godiva or whatever. They do look pretty, though, but if I were trying to impress someone with fancy chocolate, I don't think a Target brand is the way I would go. Oh, who am I kidding? I only buy chocolate for myself--but if I WERE trying to impress, well, you get the picture!

I saw them on the rack a few days ago. I thought they were so pretty, and was tempted, but didn't get any. They look so nice though!

The only one I'm tempted to try is the Key Lime because Godiva used to have a Key Lime truffle that was "to die for" and they don't carry it anymore. I'm a little hesitant, though, because so many have posted that they aren't that good. Maybe a free sample?

I saw them the other day at Target. They look very pretty (especially the chocolate squares with designs on them), but I agree with the poster that said that Target is probably not where I would go if I wanted high-end chocolate.

I wanted to buy them simply for the packaging. But since they were so expensive I didn't.

And since no one else seems to be buying them, I guess I'll be able to get them on clearance very soon. :cool1:

The TV advertisement was so annoying that even if they were any good, I wouldn't buy them . . .

I tried a sample--it was pretty good. However, I am not sure how they sell them..individual flavors or mixed. They ahd mocha and I don't do anything coffee flavored. If I can buy it without the mocha..yummy yummy!

ETA: I don't know the price and noticed some commenting on the price--the candy was worth buying for a reasonable price (reasonable to the avg consumer)--but if they are priced like Godiva....nevermind!

I am boycotting this chocolate because I am bitter they quit carrying the Hershey's Nuggets I so dearly love because of their own line.
Now, my hips (and DH) are glad it is getting harder to find my Hershey's Nuggets w/almonds and toffee.

DS9 and I were at Target on Sunday when they were giving out the free samples. We both got the chocolate mint. I thought it was really good and so did DS. I have no idea what it costs, but if it was reasonable I'd buy it.

In the flyer, they had 8 of the squares or 7 of the truffles (the fancy ones) for $5. That seemed awfully high to me. Then the "tins" of 2.5-3.5 ounces were a little less. The squares were mixed flavors, but I think the meltaways, you could purchase a box that had one flavor (going on my faulty memory here...).

But hey, I might pick them up on the clearance rack!

I was in Target on Sunday and both my DD and I got a sample of the Dark Chocolate Truffle. I thought it was very good. Not TOO sweet nor sickening as some of them can be. They were on sale and I swear I got a box for $5 but I could be wrong.

I also bought a peppermint bark candy bar which was very good (I love peppermint bark) and I Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar with Chipotle Heat seasoning. That was just okay. I also bought a box of the Artisan Chocolates. They were not that good, but pretty.

THEN (as if that wasn't enough :teeth: ) I bought a big box of their assorted chocolate barks. There are nine different squares of bark. I have an office bowling Christmas party to attend and must have a gift that is exactly $10. This was EXACTLY $10.
