What is this? How do I use this? I just signed up for it but have no clue how to use it! Any info would be greatly appreciated! I shop at target all the time and I use the pharmacy rewards and the red card and any and all coupons I can find but this cart wheel thing is totally new to me!!! TIA!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

You can browse for coupons by category and add them to your "cart." Then when you go to check out, just show them the barcode on your phone and they will scan it. It will take off the coupons. I love this app, but I almost always forget about it until after I check out!

awesome! That sounds like a great app!!!! Thanks for the quick reply!!

You can also check your items and print out the barcode and take it with you. That's what I do as I put it with my coupons so I don't forget.

Go to totallytarget.com. The woman who writes that blog has all of the info on how to get the best of Cartwheel.:thumbsup2

I know the only way to sign up for Cartwheel it is through Facebook. For that reason I haven't signed up. Is there a way to do your shopping without announcing it to the world (your FB friends) what you just bought.

I do Shopkicks and use my kicks for Target GC and then buy Disney GC. I redeemed kicks back in August just before our vacation and Shopkicks sent a message to my friend that I just redeemed kicks. She was traveling to Disney the same week so she knew what I was doing. But how do I know that other people didn't get the same message????

I don't want people to know my business, what I bought and when/where. (Sorry for the question that turned into a rant!).

Start a FB account with a fake name! I have one, it's awesome. It's a great way to sign up for whatever - contests, freebies, mfg loyalty, etc. without anybody you know having to hear about it. I didn't invent this idea, I read about it on the Couponing to Disney site a few years ago, and thought I'd try it out. Zillions of people have multiple FB accounts, for whatever reason. My only reason is to be able to do what I listed above. The only negative (if there is one) is that I can't have both accounts open on my computer at the same time on different tabs. I have to log out of one and into the other. But, I usually have my fake name open on my computer, and my real one open on my iPhone, and that seems to be fine.:thumbsup2

It pops up and asks to post to Facebook on your behalf. I click no, and it still lets me add my selections and print my barcode.

For both Cartwheel & Shopkick, it is pretty easy to change your settings so that your purchases don't get announced to the world. Just go to the Privacy settings on FB, select Apps from the menu and then find the specific app you want to change. Once you've located it, click "edit" and change your viewers from "friends" to "only me". You can also change the "allow this app to post on my behalf" if you allowed that when you initially signed up.

A small hassle, but worth it to save the money and not annoy your friends!!!

I have a question that some of you guys may know the answer to. I bought something on Friday with no coupons and then today I noticed there was a coupon on cartwheel for it. If I take it back to the service desk will they price adjust it for me? I know it sounds crazy but it will save me almost $8. Thanks

Was the item on sale last Friday? If it was, you will get the price that you paid for it back but you will pay the full price for it now. Cartwheel coupons come and go, so it's possible that the discount did not exist last week.

But if you paid full price for the item last week, then you can do a return and re-purchase it for the discounted amount.

No it was not on sale. It was a full price item. I may return and rebuy.

I love cartwheel and have been using it for over a month. I have NEVER been able to get it to scan at the register. It is usually fairly easy for the clerk to estimate what my savings are and they do it as a manual override, but it is a pain and makes me *almost* not want to mess with it sometimes. Does anyone else have this problem? The barcode comes up, it just won't scan. Puts up some sort of "invalid entry" on the clerk's computer screen.

Thanks!

You can print the coupon (cartwheel) at home and take it to the store.
You just have to know what your buying before you go to the store. Not good if you pick up any additional items or impulse buys.

What type of mobile device are you using cartwheel with?
Do you have a screen protector sheet? This happens with a friend of ours using cartwheel...would never scan and I told them to take their screen protector off...and bam works very time for them.

Might work for you

Target now will only accept manufacturers coupons three days past the date on your receipt. I thought you would all be interested.

I have been told that non apple users have more difficulty with Cartwheel but it can be done with Andriod.

I have been using it on my Android phone for a couple months. No problems whatsoever.

Just wanted to add that the beauty of Cartwheel is that is an ADDITIONAL discount over and above coupons. So on any one item, you can use:
1 manufacturer coupon
1 Target coupon
1 Cartwheel discount
:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Love it! Most of them aren't a lot, but it all adds up!!
