Target 75% Off Christmas Watch Thread

I'm not really excited about the Christmas stuff at Target this year. Every year i have my eye on something waiting for it to go 50 or 75% off. I have built up a nice array of beautiful Christmas decorations doing this without ever paying full price. However, this year, our Target didn't really have any nice Christmas stuff even BEFORE Christmas. Their wasn't anything I wanted to get or wait for. The only thing I am waiting to go 75% off is the wrapping paper. There was no isle of individual ornaments this year, just a few full sized trees, but none of the decorative ones for a front porch. Not many wreaths, I would say that they had about half as much floor space devoted to Christmas this year. They don't even do the international furniture at our Target anymore, they turned that space into bulk packs of grocery items.

I think that they realized that no one bought the stuff until it was at least half off - and they decided to take the marketing another direction.

I had to go back to Target tonight. I was charged this morning for 2 platters when I bought one, they gave me my $3.50 back w/o question. I went to check out what was left in the Xmas section, since they went to 75% off this morning, and OMG it looked like a tornado went thru the place.

Our Target is a two floor one and on the first floor there are still lots of the nice Smith and Hawkins X-mas items where thry have home decor type things. I do not think people realize they are there and at 75% off. They have some beautiful wreaths with dried flowers for $4. A nice big Advent wooden trees with boxes to put a candy or something in for $4, several really nice pillows. There was an aisle worth of things and the sign says 30% off but it is 75% off.

Just got home from ours. They are still at 50% and almost nothing left. I did get a Mickey and Minnie canister, 2 mugs and one plate. I also got 2 Kittens First Christmas stockings with ornaments. I didn't thin kthere would be a big demand for them and thought about waiting and checking back next week, but they only had 3 and we got 2 new kittens this year and the kids really wanted them, so I got them. Wished it had been 75% off, but there is so little left it really wasn't worth the trip back so I got the couple things I wanted and will b e out of the stores and back to No Buy now. :rotfl:

Is this the store near Ikea? We'll be in town tomorrow so I was considering swinging by and checking it out. Athens is still 50% and 30% as of this afternoon, and 15%/30% in the toy department.

It is probaby about a 10 minute drive from Ikea, here is a link to the yelp page with exact address and phone number. It is a cool Target to see, really.

It would not be very far out of your way, there is a Dick's sporting Goods, Filene's Basement in the same complex. There is tons of shopping in the area. I'll check back if you have any other questions about anything.

my local Target is making no sense what-so-ever: all the Christmas themed stuff in the dollar section is 75% off.... but all the stuff in the aisles is sitting at 50%.
One aisle of toys is 30% off. Nothing we're interested in, though

Yup, my Target was the same way. Also, one Target had a toy I wanted at 50% off and another didn't even have that toy marked down. Really weird; I think they are operating separately based on their stock.

South Jersey stores were not consistent in their mark downs. Burlington, Delran, and Marlton were 75% off while Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel were still 50% off.
Marlton had the most trees left (whole aisle full) and Mount Laurel had the most wrapping paper and candy/gourmet gifts. Marlton had a nice selection of Smith and Hawken products at 75% off including penguin doormats for $4.98 and amaryllis potted plants in various colors for $4.98. Marlton and Mount Laurel had the most Christmas stock left while Burlington was pretty picked over.
i did not visit Delran or Cherry Hill but overheard several ladies talking about Delran and how it was similar to Burlington.

My DS is 4 and he LOVES moon dough. That said, I have to make the animals for him, but they do hold their shape enough for him to play with them. It vacuums up easy and doesn't dry out. But, like I said, it's too hard for a little kid to do by themselves--you really have to really press it into the molds; it's easy to get out of the bigger sets, but hard to get out of the molds.

We have the farm, island, and puppy sets. He plays with it a lot. I was worried about getting it into the rug, etc., but it does come up easy. Moon sand is God awful--someone brought that over to my house, we did it outside, and it still made a mess for months.

Thanks.

I love the island set.

I was in our local Target last night and this is the exact pricing I found. I got excited when I saw the dollar spot Christmas stuff at 75% and headed straight to the back of the store. The other Christmas stuff was only at 50% and the toys at 30%:confused3 Come on Target---mark it down!

I had to go in to Target this morning to get some cold medicine (I'm getting sick, blah!) and just happened to go to the Christmas section :rolleyes1 75% off!!!! I got the Christopher Radko mugs that go with my plate set that I've had for the past few years. I already have 2 mugs but wanted another set of 2 and they had one set left sitting on the shelf - $2.49!! Got some tissue paper and napkins for .75 each. Also got DD a polar bear plush pillow for $2.49. so cute! They still had a lot of stuff left too. Stockings, ornaments, candy, gift bags, trees. Tons!

Now I'm home sipping my theraflu. good times

DH, DD and I hit 3 Targets today starting at 8am :woohoo: Bought a ton of stuff (including Disney stockings I'm really excited about) and got great deals! Bargain hunting was the best way to end 2010 :dance3:

Same here...still 50% at ours. I found 6 Geo Trax set clearanced at $2.76 each all different sets so I'm thinking it was an online Christmas return? Our Target didn't even carry those sets, so I was quite excited.

Mine in SE Wisconsin went 75% off today. I walked out with very few things: scotch tape, two pair of socks, gift card holder, and cards for next year. The cards were the main reason I stopped. There was still plenty, across all departments, to choose from.

Ours was at 75% off today. I went in to grab some cranberry juice and just happened to end up in the Christmas section. I got some Christmas Printer Paper for $.74 a pack, two mickey mouse plates for $.74 a piece, two packs of glittery snowflake ornaments at $.25 a piece, a four pack of wrapping paper at $1.50 and some candy canes for $.65.

Which store did you go to?

I stopped at our Target today. Looks like they have been 75% off for a couple of days. Most anything I wanted was long gone. I got some candy at 50% off and light up ornaments at 75% off. They have moved gift sets of cologne, etc., back over to health and beauty and they are marked at 15% off. Any Christmas food items have been moved back to the food department and marked 30% off. :headache:
