Target 75% Off Christmas Watch Thread

I'm eagerly waiting for my Target to go to 75% off. I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket!

Was there today, still 50% here in Maine. Quite a bit left so I am hanging on for 75% since I really don't have to have any of the stuff

I like to get Toys For Tots toys at the 75% - 90% off range, but they are far and few between by the time that reduction gets here. I seal the toys up in a vacuum bag and then donate them next year....makes my dollar go a lot farther and the families get the benefit of my cheapness, too.

I'm going in tomorrow. I need to see if I can find some gift boxes, ours have been thru a lot and we had to throw many out this year. Maybe some new bows too, again, ours were pretty much crushed. lol But that's really it, I still have wrapping paper from years ago (about 5 years ago we hit the jackpot at our Target, tons of the nice thick paper at 90% off) and we still have some good bags as well. Oh I should look for tissue paper too.......

I'm going in tomorrow. I need to see if I can find some gift boxes, ours have been thru a lot and we had to throw many out this year. Maybe some new bows too, again, ours were pretty much crushed. lol But that's really it, I still have wrapping paper from years ago (about 5 years ago we hit the jackpot at our Target, tons of the nice thick paper at 90% off) and we still have some good bags as well. I went to Target yesterday and everything was 50% off except the bagged candy which was 30% off. I found the Mickey Mouse Christmas themed cookie jar and 2 mugs and decided to just get them at the 50% off since they would most likely be gone before it got to be 75% off.

The cookie jar was $14.99, I got it for $7.99 and the mugs were $4.99 each and I got them for $2.49 a piece. Not bad and I used a giftcard.

Me too...it probably doesn't help that I have 2 containers for gift wrap items, one specifically for Christmas that goes into storage every year and one for other gift items (birthdays, weddings, showers, etc etc). I never know where I put that "big thing of tissue paper I bought" LOL, this year I plan on buying 2....and putting one in the Christmas bin and 1 in the regular bin! LOL IF there is any left of course.

I need gift bags, but those usually don't last long enough to make it to 75%. At least not around here. I also need to buy cards, and then remember that I bought some! I almost bought new ones this year but then found 3 unopened boxes I'd bought on clearance last year. I'm bad about buying things like that, as well as stocking stuffers, packing them away and forgetting all about it.

From my experiences in the past 3 years....Target goes to 75% off on New Year's Day. The 75% off last 3 days and then everything is written off, taken out of purchase and salvaged to GoodWill.

I hope that stays right because I will be able to take advantage of a few things, having DS January birthday, DD February birthday and other DS March birthday.

OMG.... That is so true, I buy during the clearance sales thinking i'm doing so good and saving money, putting it away for the next year, it rolls around and I forgot where I put the stuff, and have to rebuy at a higher price! Our's isn't at the 75% mark yet either!

I was in my local target at 8:30, I had to drop my DD off at camp and they were still at 50% but they had several people walking around scanning items in that area, so I stuck around and scanned a couple of the items after they had been there and they were still 50%, I was hoping they were in the middle of marking down, but no luck.

Everything at our Target is still 50% (with most toy clearance being 30%). I got paper from Walmart and was hoping to get tags from Target, but no such luck. The paper and tags are already gone! I guess I will have to brave the Walmart for that.

I am hoping that toys begin to drop soon.

I just got back from Target. Still 50% off Christmas and 30% off candy. Toys were a mix of 50% and 30% and the stuff with the pink dot in the dollar bins was now 50% off. That wasn't there on Sunday. Got some cute board books for DD and a Winnie the Pooh calendar. I googled Target holiday clearance and someone posted that it's usually a full week of 50% off and then will go to 75%... so maybe Sunday? My Target still has a ton of stuff!!!

Scan the candies carefully! I bought some M&M's at 50 % off ($1.44) a bag. So scan them and see if you like the price!

The Signs say 50% or more on xmas stuff and 30% or more on candies.

Here the gift bags don't usually make it past 50% off, I always look and sometimes find a random one or two but I rarely find very many. I always make sure I take down my Christmas stuff before I buy anything...or I keep receipts so I can return things if I need to. lol

It doesn't normally take that long around here, it's normally 3-5 days to hit the 75% off. If I don't find it at that today (and it sounds like I won't) I'll go back on Friday or Saturday and check again. I have DBF's bday Jan 7th so sometimes I find something good for him, not very often but sometimes. I do have DD22 and DGD20months bdays both in Feb to watch for tho. I love being able to get DGD's stuff after Christmas.
