Tarek and Christina seperate

Sad, maybe they will work things out. Didn't they have a baby boy not long ago? I know they already had a daughter.

So sad. Their kids are so young. I hope things play out smoothly.

How could you continue to work with your estranged spouse?

I continue to watch Little People, Big World. They are now divorced and living side by side on the farm. So they obviously continue to work on the show together, and ostensibly they continue to run the farm together.

Honestly, it has changed the show substantially and I'm thinking about not watching any more. It's just more habit than anything else now after watching for so many years. I can't imagine they attract any new viewers.

I was sad to see this as well. I really like their show because it's only 30 minutes long, so there isn't a lot of recap after every single commercial break (like House Hunters recaps the whole show every 7 minutes).

I also like that things actually go wrong sometimes so it seems a bit more real. Like when their Escalade was stolen from right outside one of the houses they were working on.

I agree with others who have said it will be very difficult to continue the show while separated and/or divorced. That will be very awkward.

Time to find another house to flip!

I watched the show a few times and I absolutely don't know how they are off camera in their private lives but there was a fakeness to the show.

Well, all HGTV shows ARE fake, but yeah, there seemed to be something off with those two. Granted I only saw about 5 or 6 episodes, but something about their relationship just struck me as odd.

And I never did like the actual show. DW insists the shows don't always follow the scenario below, that sometimes there are flops, but every one I saw follows almost the exact same script.

Buy house at auction for 350k.
Plan on 100k on renovations.
Halfway thru discover major problem that increases costs by another 50 to 75k.
Worry about recouping costs because comps in the neighborhood sell for 25k less than what they spent.
Take a chance and price house 100k more than comps.
First person to walk in offers 50k more than asking price.

Well, I've watched a few more than you have, and they don't always make a profit. It doesn't happen often, but it did happen. But they have always annoyed me, so I don't watch the show anymore.

And yeah, almost all of HGTV is fake. My sister's sister-in-law is a real estate agent and she was on one of the shows a few years ago. The house they "bought" was the one they were already living in.
