Tappen Edo or Chef De France?

Tappen Edo or Chef De France...I have two boys ages 8 and 9.

They have been to Japanese restaurants where they cook food in front of you...

Is Tappen Edo better than your average Japanese restaurant?

Should I just do Chef de France fo the food?

I have tried Tappen Edo and although I like it goig to try Chefs De France for Christmas, nothing like having Christmas Eve in France

I would not go to either...Teppan Edo is nothing like the hibachi places we frequent, for one thing you do not get the shrimp, soup or salad appies with your meals, you do not get fried rice and the portions are so small for the price you are paying.

We ate at Teppan Edo in Aug and DH ate both of our meals to feel full...they way overcooked my filet so I wasnt touching in but that is ok because I wasnt hungry anyways and was happy to turn it over to DH.

Chefs is great for lunch but after the lousy dinner we had there last month we will be skipping this from now on

Tepan Edo is your average hibachi Japanese grill, but typical Disney, the prices are a little steep compared to what you get at a good Japanese steakhouse. Mosts dinners always include a shrimp appetizer and salad but not Tepan Edo. I enjoy the food at Tepan Edo but I prefer the menu choices and the food from Chefs de France.

I thought Tepan Edo was really good
The food was good and just watching the chefs at the table provides great entertainment.
I think it is more fun for the kids

I've never been to Chefs but we did Teppen Edo last year for the first and last time. We had never been to a restaurant like that before so we thought it was good. Then we went to our local one and even my kids said Mom Disney's was bad compared to this. We all think our local places put on a better show, have better food, and give you much more for a much better price. Now if you don't have one locally then yeah it might be worth it but otherwise I would definatly go some place else.

Yeah, I don'y think the previous posters are taking the kids into account. I love chefs, but their menu does not appeal well with kids.. Tepan Edo, on the other hand is good visually and good kid choices.

I agree with you, for one I didn't take kids into consideration, with kids I would pick Tepan Edo
