Tapestry of Nations?

On my last trip in May, the Tapestry of Nations parade had been discontinued. I loved that parade and would even go so far as to say it was one of my favorite things in all of WDW. How often is this DIS site updated? Just wondering because on the Just For Kids: Epcot pages they list, "make a mask for the Tapestry of Nations Parade". Has this parade been brought back?!!!

Nah, the parade is not back. The KidCot stations are still in World Showcase, though, so making a mask is still a possibility.
Bringing it TON, though, is not.

Let's hope Epcot brings a parade back!

As far as I know, there is no ToD parade anymore. There are so many fans of the parade, that if Disney decided to bring it back in any way, shape, or form.....I'm sure we'd hear about it on the DIS! It definitely wasn't there this past February.

I saw it when it was ToN and I just loved it! I know people got tired of seeing it because they ran it twice a day every day. Its too bad they can't just run it a few times a week like they do Spectro at MK.

You can buy an Epcot CD containing music from Illuminations and Tapestry of Nations/Dreams. At least I think you still can. It's all we have left of ToD.

The original Tapestry of Nations was, without a doubt, my all time favorite thing at WDW. We took three trips to WDW when it was running and every night we were there was structured around seeing the parade. It was awesome!

Don't get me started on Tapestry of Dreams, which was only a pale imitation.

I would love it if they would bring ToN back, but it has to be the original.

I was wondering why they did away with that. I really enjoyed it. The music was very good! I hope they bring it back!

I read this on Screamscape:

"Park News - (9/15/04) Screamscape has heard a rumor that Disney may be working on a new Tapestry of Nations style parade for the World Showcase area. One rumor at this point is that they may make a float themed to each nation represented in World Showcase. If true, the earliest we would see this may be in 2006, though Epcot will turn 25 in 2007."

Hopefully it's true.

I'll admit, ToN was my absolute favorite thing @ WDW!! I have several CDs of the soundtrack (just in case something goes wrong with one!). Whenever I need something to lift my spirits, that music does it every time!

I hope they bring it back, but since it sounds like they're going to make a few changes/improvements, maybe they'll make it more "windy" friendly!! I remember a # of times we'd have our viewing spot and near parade time, the winds would pick up a little and eventually the announcement "cancelled this evening".

And while I agree the original, Nations, was the best; I saw more little kids delight in making their wish and putting it in the dream catcher!

At least EPCOT plays the music from TOD right after Illuminations. Both times we were down this year, we were singing to it as we slowly walked out of the park. It's something.
