Tapestry of Nations ... sigh.

Do you think the Tapestry of Nations parade will ever come back? I loved the music, the costumes, the message. (I thought Tapestry of Dreams was yucky in comparison.)

There have been rumors that a new parade will be developed for Epcot - possibly one that isn't as senstive to windy conditions as Tapestry was. Haven't heard a word about it lately though - so at best I'm sure it's quite a ways off yet.

It was one of my family's personal favorites and I miss it so much!!
I was extremely dissappointed that my DD never got to see it, as when we took her for the first time, they had cancelled it a month prior....what a bummer!!

I LOVED that parade..we went almost every other weekend just to see the parade,,at that time it went all around WORLD SHOW CASE!!! and i loved

I have two CM friends that used to perfrom in ToN (and later ToD). They have both told me that rumors are circulating about bringing this parade in a modified form. Epcot's 25th anniversary is coming up in 2007, and the rumor is that they will combine the Disney characters in with the ToN puppets to create a new parade. Personally, I'm not too excited about having characters in the parade, but it will bring back ToN in some form.

Not fair I keep waiting for them to appear on Disney Auctions, I really want one!

I also told a CM last trip that I think if they can play the music they have to bring the parade back. If you hang around after Illuminations, they play the TON music, it's so sad to hear it in that setting.

(sigh) I miss it too . Still one of my favorite Disney parades. It was such a wonderful part of the EPCOT experience for our family.

I met a CM a few months ago who is now working at Vero, he used to be one of the puppeteers in the parade. He said it was such a great experience being involved in that parade.

Oh, I hope the rumors are true! I really miss that one. It seems like there's something missing in World Showcase now.

My entire family was so upset when they stopped that parade - I am so happy that I have it on one of our videos, and I have the CD too.

Maybe you can get the cd on ebay. I have the Millenium cd.

Playing that CD a few months back is what started our trip next week. After a Saturday of cleaning with the music on, all four of us wanted to go back - 8 days and counting.

That really was great haveing the wonderful parade atmosphere in Epcot after dark. I too hope that they bring it back in some form.

It was the best. I have the Sage of Time pin and it brings back wonderful memories to me. I do think Epcot needs a parade and if they bring back at least some form of ToD it would be GREAT!!!

DD was in both ToN and ToD--and she absolutely LOVED performing in both of those parades! She is currently a full-time Entertainment CM and she has heard rumors similar to what Debi mentioned. Hope those rumors are true. DD would work in that parade in a heartbeat. Some of the costumes are still in use for special events at conventions.

I miss tapestry in all of it's different versions. I think I ended up at epcot every night of my vactions just to enjoy the parade. After 9/11 they canceled it to saving money since "to few people" were there. Now with attendance levels at or above levels prior to 9/11 there is no reason not to have a parade except to save the cash.

They brought TOP back after 9/11. My husband and I go alot and were happy to see it end! Sorry. I don't think it will return! Almost positive! But, they always have another one coming.
