I plan to do a trip report concerning my May 27th Wonder Cruise.

Not wanting to bring the laptop to record my “diary”, I plan to take a small, portable tape recorder and make verbal notes each day. When I get back, I can transfer my verbal notes to my computer and make a contribution to the trip report board.

What a great idea!!! My memory is about as long as my little finger and I really didn't want to carry around a notebook to jot down notes. I think the tape recorder is a perfect idea!! I am always so impressed with the great detail folks include in their trip reports and I wondered how they remember every little detail. (Like what they ate at each meal!!) ( I can't even remember what I had for breakfast, or even if I did eat breakfast at all!! LOL)

I'm putting the tape recorder on my shopping list!! Thanks again!!

Actually this past February my Mom and I went on the Seabourn Legend. One of other passengers did exactly this, taping when and where this picture was taken, etc. I think this is a fabulous idea!!

I got a little voice-activated Sony digital recorder with Dragonspeak (talk?) software for my January research trip...Works a treat, invest in an extra couple of memory sticks, just in case...
Put it on a tether so you don't drop it...It's very slippery, and tiny....

Definitely a great idea!
I am good about bringing my laptop and typing up notes the first day...but after that, things get so busy that I never get back to it until it's time to kill some time waiting at the airport on the way home.
