Tape issues?

I use CM tape adhesives and lately they have seemed kinda dry and not as sticky! Anyone else have this problem? Could it be from this dry cold weather we are having? Am I crazy?? Or am I just sick of this cold weather and I'm blaming everything I can think of on it!

Funny I am having problems with it too! I love the CM tape runner. Lots of stick but my problem is the tape will get stuck on the little poin and kind of clog up..I have to open it and clean it out but once it sticks once it just seems to keep sticking!

Hmmm...been using my tape runner today (brand new refill) and it seems fine...maybe it is the weather and how dry and cold it is where you are.

I HATE it when they clog up! I especially have a hard time with the mini tape runner sticking up...

I finally gave up on my CM tape runner. It got clogged so often, I wasted about 20% of the tape, not to mention the frustration of it made me .

I use the Hemafix now. I love that I can get refills at my LSS & Ben Franklins and not have to find a CM consultant (mine "retired").

I was a Hermafix lover....but I found myself bound to the Michael's 40% off coupons as I thought the refills were VERY expensive (6.95). It bugged me to pay full price. Now I am lucky to be a CMC and get the discount, but I feel 4.75 is a good deal for a refill...I still think the Hermafix is a good product, but I like the price of the CM runner better. And I think it is stickier. I liked the cool colors of the Hermafix's tho----I had a see thru orange one.

Yikes---20% of your refill was wasted due to clogging? Maybe your tape runner was defective....Mine might get stuck, but I can unstick it and only waste maybe a 1/4" and then I go back and take it off with my finger and stick it on. What can I say- I am a penny pincher with my supplies!

Have you tried using some Un-Do to get the sticky off the point? I love that stuff, except for the strong smell.

As for price, I've been getting my CM tape runner from ebay lately. The last couple times I've gotten tape runner I found some good deals there, even with shipping. I had a CMC that was great several years ago, but she moved to CA and I haven't found another that I like working with.

Ouch! I wouldnt like it either for 6.95- My refills are 4.50 without coupon- My local Roberts always has 40% off coupons and Ive gotten in the habit if I dont use the coupon to buy refills so I always have some -

Guess thats one of the perks of living in Scrapbook Central (Utah County Utah)
