Tap Water Quality in CA?

Another question for CA DIS-ers.
Here in FL, the tap water quality is generally horrible.
It is over-chlorinated and sometimes has a very strong sulfur smell (think rotten eggs).
So, when at WDW, we usually drink bottled water or bring Capri-Suns.
At DL, we'd like to save some $ and maybe just drink tap water with those nifty flavor packets/tubes added in.
I know we can get tap water in cups at most restaurants/counter service, but what is the overall quality?
Should we get some of those Brita water filter things (they are available in FL in abundance,
no shortage like people in other states complain about)?
Or, will the tap water be fine?
Just trying to save some more $ for souveniers and meals.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
33 days and counting!
Thanks ... Rose :)

Water is not Terrible in SoCAl but most familys I know do get bottled water.

We(family of four) always start with one water bottle each, you are allowed to enter the park with your own water. And then refill once while in the park, that is usually enough for a visit.

Depending on where you are staying, most markets(walmart, target too) sell a case of .5 liter bottles for about 4 bucks.

I'm probably spoiled because our water in Hawaii is relatively good (no chlorine), but even here I use a water filter. Personally, I would stop at Target or Walmart or something and buy a case of water.

I live in Northern CA. I think the So California water is so chunky you want to eat it with a fork. :rotfl: :earseek:

I won't lie to you...the water is not great. It probably won't kill you, but if you are at all sensitive to how water tastes I would stick with bottled.

Compared to Florida water, at least what I experienced at WDW. Anaheim water is like heaven :).

I still go the bottled water route. But at least I can drink fountain drinks at Disneyland. At WDW I had to switch to bottled because of a not so pleasent side effect that had me visiting the Happiest Potties on Earth more then the actual attractions.

Thanks everyone for all your replies.
I'm glad to hear that the water is somewhat better than in FL (how could it not be!),
but we'll plan on picking up a case of bottled water when we do our grocery shopping upon arrival.
I might still pick up a few of those Brita things and filter water through them for refills.
Or get a couple gallons and fill up sports cups in the morning - Maybe go to the Disney Store or Wal-Mart
and let the kids pick out their own cups (with carrying straps).
They'd probably love that.
Thanks again ... 32 days to go!
