Before Toy Story 3, I was treated to see the trailer for Tangled, as I'm sure everyone else has. I just wanted to know what everyone thinks.

Personally, I was surprised it was computer animated. For some reason, I thought it was going to be hand-drawn, but that's probably because I've been out of the loop for quite some time. Also, I think the actual movie looks amazing. The image of Rapunzel swinging on the tree using her hair had me in tears.

I'm hopeful for this movie, but I'm also realistic, and I'm not sure it will be commercially successful just because of the absence of Pixar.

I think it looks super funny. My 9 year old daughter is excited to see it also. It might be a suprise hit.

Years ago, I remember seeing a movie poster for this at Art of Disney Animation in DHS. I totally thought it was going to be a hand drawn film until I saw the preview, too. I'm still excited for it though. I'm glad they've decided to use another traditional fairytale for a movie.

Geez, how did I miss this trailer, I was in Toy Story 3 on opening day and don't recall anything called Tangled.:sad2:

Looks cute. Preview was funny. Beautiful scenery around the tower and waterfall, etc.

Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I actually saw a blurb in Entertainment Weekly about this movie called "Disney's Princess Problem." It said they intentionally emphasized the male lead in the trailer so they could attract boys as well as girls. This was because of The Princess and the Frog not doing as well with boys, or in general.

it seems to have a........tarzan feel to it........not plot, sort of the frentic pacing. maybe just the way they edited the clips together for the preview, but it made me think of that disney movie......................actually if you think about the plot points there is some similarity..............they are after all both "chick flicks":rotfl:

I'm optimistic...hopeful that Disney and Pixar cultures have meshed enough to ensure a strong story no matter what the animation style...
